Deadspin is Gawker. Might as well be giving Jizzebel views. Fuck them all.

[–]Riusakii[S] 4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link

Couldn't find a direct link to the video so I had to use the Deadspin page.

EDIT: Found a direct link in the page source code.

Listen to Max Kellerman and Marceullus on their ESPN radio show.

http://espn.go.com/espnradio/play?id=11265563

Starts about 14:00 in.

They go into this issue and Marcellus gives a 1st hand story of how a woman tried to fuck him over with a false violence claim. It was refreshing to hear them talk about "provoke" and how it's confused with "escalate".

Provoking is often escalation. When a woman "escalates" and is the first one to throw a punch.

Just saw the actual video and I don't think he needed to apologize for what her said. He was being serious an honest, amazing how feminists get riled up over BS.

[–][deleted] 11 points12 points13 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

It's because their movement has nowhere left to go so they leech onto any little outrage.

[–]Endorsed Contributorgekkozorz 9 points10 points11 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Women have so much equality these days, it's getting difficult for them to find things that oppress them.

[–]ModAerobus 17 points18 points19 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Anyone who watched the original video who has common sense can see the truth in it. This 'apology' shows how feminists have control over our media. The minute he alluded to the fact that women are able to do something that provokes a man's behavior, or better yet do something to protect themselves from such behavior (thus implying that feminists are not victims 100% of the time), the feminists got mad, and it forced this apology out of him.

Feminists are SILENCING all discussion. The more we shut up any conversation with claims of misogyny, the less honest discussion we can have. You can't use the word "provoke" without having to apologize?

Which is a ridiculous "fix" for the problem. Bill Burr said it best - if a man is a homophobe, do you really think you're making him like gays more by shutting him up? If an employee says something detrimental about the homosexual community, do you really think his bad feelings about them will go away if you fire him for saying those things?

No, those feelings just get forced deeper down. He may not express them verbally, but he can certainly exert them through his actions. Which could potentially be even worse.

[–]Speed9402 12 points13 points14 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

They want to play dumb, but they know exactly what he is talking about.

The elephant in the room that men are expected to have the patience of a zen master while some unruly woman is berating him. Swap the unruly woman with an unruly man and punches would be exchanged

But it's okay for women to act like a child throwing a temper tantrum because "I'm an emotional being and stuff". Which is part of the truth(the other being if a man wanted to knock a woman's head off 99% of them could do absolutely nothing), but they would rather bury their heads in the sand and pretend like both genders don't have their strengths and weaknesses.

[–]trudatness 8 points9 points10 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Well, Rice's wife was screaming at him, getting physical with shoves and slaps and spit in his face.

He lost his temper and knocked her the fuck out.

I think it's fair to say that both parties have culpability in what happened.

Ray Rice should have shown more restraint. He's a professional football player - a professional tough guy who is more than a physical match for his wife. The force he used was excessive and unnecessary. Her behavior was out of line too.

Both of them acted like jackasses.

[–]honestthrowout 4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

this a million fucking times. He's saying "ladies, be aware of what the fuck is going on in the situation, regardless if you're the one starting shit, or if your partner is being an asshole. Just stop and take a step back before things devolve into violence." I know that was the point he was trying to get across, and liberal PC feminist cuntbags take the surface meaning of his words and twist them. Fuck.

I quoted Bill Burr once before in this thread, and now I'm going to do it again.

One time she was watching this show. It was like a poor excuse for The View and they started talking about domestic violence. All right, for the nine-millionth time this year, they’re talking about domestic violence. Just in case, you know, you didn’t get the memo, you know. Evidently, you know, just some people didn’t get it. It’s not okay to slam your wife’s head into the cupboard drawers because she didn’t dry the can opener off properly, you know.

It’s gonna fuckin’ rust, right. How do you not know not to do that shit? Do they really have to keep talking about it? Who, who — it’s like wife beaters watching for oh! Fuck, now I get it. Upsy daisy, sweet heart; here we go – aww. There you go.

So at the end of the hour, they come to the logical conclusion. They’re like there is no reason to hit a woman. There is no reason to hit a woman. And I was just like, really? I could give you like 17 right off the top of my head. You can wake me from a drunken stupor; I could still give you like nine. Dude, there’s plenty of reasons to hit a woman, you just don’t do it.

But to sit there and suggest that there’s no reason; dude, the level of ego behind that statement, what are you levitating above the rest of us, you’re never annoying? Women, how many times have you thought about slapping your fuckin’ guy in the head this week?

Are you telling this story because you think what that guy did was OK? Cause it wasn't. You wouldn't punch a guy for talking trash.

[–]IamAwaken 3 points3 points3 points 12 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Hey guys let me tell you what happened. That black lady got pissed at what he said. He didn't mean his apology and it was obvious he resented her because she is the one who raised a fuss.

I'm sure that there were some viewers who got offended, but that lady obviously has a personal agenda and more power than him. Or somehow she's influencing this heavily.

[–]trpsavvy 20 points21 points22 points 12 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Nah, black people understand that the woman usually had it coming. White women have this mistaken notion that they're precious little angels that can't do no wrong. The African American community is not as insulated from reality as the majority European American community.

A common narrative, for your viewing pleasure;

Her: Nigga you ain't shit

Him: ...

Her: Say something you pussy ass nigga

Him: ...

Her: You bitch ass pussy ass nigga, you ain't shit. That's why I fucked your friend you small dick ass nigga

Him: Woman if you don-

Her: If I don't what? HUH NIGGA (she's yelling at this point). WHAT YOU GON DO NIGGA? YOU GON HIT ME NIGGA? YOU AIN'T SHIT NIGGA. YOU A PUSSY BITCH ASS NIGGA WHO AIN'T GONNA DO SHIT. HIT ME NIGGA. HIT ME NIGGA.

Him: Woman, I swear to go-

Her: HIT ME NIGGA, HIT ME YOU PUSSY BITCH SMALL DICK HAVING MOTHERFUCKER

Dude proceeds to beat her ass

Her: OMG HE HIT ME, HOW COULD YOU DO THAT?

That's what he meant by provoked.

[–]TheSKSpecial 10 points11 points12 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You forgot (she slaps/shoves/punches him, still yelling).

Majority of the time he doesn't get physical until she does.

[–]LasherDeviance 8 points9 points10 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This is exactly how it happens, almost every single time, damned near verbatim.

[–][deleted] 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

[–]LasherDeviance 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Black people are the ones that champion the most liberal causes, not realizing that those liberal causes hurt us the most. Every group with a liberal agenda compares their "struggle" to that which Black people have lived with in the US, and Black people champion that shit every time. And we wonder why people think we're a fucking joke...

[–]Asoka111115 points 12 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

This. A million times fucking this.

[–]_Fony_ 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

uh it was a white lady leading the crusade against him, she even went around to the black co-workers there to pressure them to side against him.

michelle beadle.

[–]Wheatspin 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

After watching the apology, I decided to watch what he was apologizing for. Utter shit that he had to apologize for it. He in no way suggested that it's a woman's fault if they get beat by a man, only that there are preventative measures that can be taken.

It's like walking down a street, alone, at 2am, in a neighborhood notorious for rapists wearing nothing but a miniskirt and revealing shirt. If you get raped is it your fault? No, it's the rapist's fault, but you could have done obvious common sense things to avoid it.

This shit is just feeding into the modern women's complete disconnect between action and consequence.

[–]Jared_from_SUBWAY 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

These forced apologies are cringeworthy.

Then for ESPN to force a man who's entire career/personality is based on the fact that he's outspoken, it's just absurd. This is his career, his livelihood! And just because a few women were offended/disagree, he has to apologize as if he did something wrong? He did exactly what ESPN pays him to do, and even sugarcoated it, but that's how women are... they always want more.

Meh, stupid move on his part. He's a host of a sports show, not exactly the best avenue to be voicing what could be conceived as controversial opinions on topics that have nothing to do with sports.

Face it, if you were running a business, you wouldn't want an employee who represents your company spouting stuff off like this, whether or not you personally agree.

And he works for ESPN which is owned by Disney. Yeah, good luck stepping around those eggshells landmines. I agree that no one should act like a jack ass to their significant other and provoke a confrontation, but have some sense about where you are when you say these things.

So Deadspin, a site dedicated to sports, has been infiltrated by feminists? Our grandfathers are rolling over in their graves.

[–]Riusakii[S] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

On the Kinja owned sites they have a feminist click-bait article about ever other day. The last one that made me shake my head was on Kotaku about Ubisoft not adding a female playable character in their next Assassin's Creed game.

I spent about 2 secs in the comments section saying to myself this is not worth my time to read the same old white knights bullshit. This isn't even about real life it's about god damn pixels on a screen for fuck sakes.

Gamers are the worst white knights of all.

EDIT: Link to article I'm referencing. Sorry about linking them but this bullshit needs to be exposed.

ESPN is owned by Disney. Remember this as you watch.

[–]1AlienSunrise -3 points-2 points-1 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

All he said was don't provoke violent men. Should men ever be hitting women? No. (I know we would certainly want to in cases of wife's cheating and getting half the money anyway, but those whores aren't worth the jailtime.) That being said, if some woman knows that her bf is gonna whoop her ass if she doesn't do the laundry then you have 2 choices, leave that guy, or do the fucking laundry. It doesn't make the guy right by any means, but if you can avoid the ass beating, then you should probably do whatever it takes.
