The wife essentially holds the husband to hostage by depriving him of something their union implicitly represents (ie. that the husband is the provider and the wife should look after the husband): the only way for the husband to fulfill his needs is to get it outside of the marriage. So when women treat access to sex as a political or economic weapon, monogamous marriage (which is what women hope to 'achieve' most of all) is reduced to an impossibility. This is essentially what we see with the advent of third-wave feminism, and we can clearly see its effects on society: the breakdown of the traditional family unit, single-parent families, divorce rates skyrocketing, and so on. The corollary is for men to withdraw from entering into monogamous marriage in the first place and not let women get what they want, in this case the woman has no opportunity to take the man hostage.

This is actually insane logic...I read a lot of articles from here to get a sense of certain things. I actually enjoy the articles here that promote self-improvement and becoming a better man, and even some of the pseudo-psychology sociology ones, but when people post shit like this I can't help but roll my eyes and realize how childish the majority of people here are. The black and white views and broad generalizations some of you make are eerily similar to the hate rhetoric spewed that allowed blacks to be lynched in the south without consequence. It's the same logic that says some cultures are inherently better than others or some group of people are inherently smarter.

Please, explain why the withholding of sex threatens monogamous marriage? When individuals want to deter a certain behavior they put incentives or tax to encourage another behavior or discourage a behavior directly. What you're suggesting is actually like a slave owner saying "niggers are niggers - all I ever seen em do is pick cotton and try and rape white women, best to treat them as such until I see different."

You're actually ANGRY at the fact that an individual who has the freedom to choose - and as such exercises this choice - is inherently wrong because it doesn't fit within your narrow minded worldview. Doesn't cheating on your wife because she withholds sex for a behavior she believes is wrong just as threatening to monogamous marriage and the traditional family unit? Maybe I'm wrong but the entire idea behind becoming a better PERSON is to rise above your base instincts and to appreciate change - being open to a new interpretation of the world and to learn and grow. Is it not? Also isn't being an adult learning to accept the consequences of your actions and instead of placing blame on another person - or projecting yourself on to another person - you understand how you can react differently or modify your own behavior in response to undesirable outcomes?

I pose these questions to you because you sound angry and frustrated. You don't sound like someone who has experienced abundance or are at all comfortable and confident with who you are as a person or where you are in life. I always thought that the most confident and secure people I knew were the least angry and bitter. They were incredibly self-aware and would never make a comment like you just did. I think there are a lot of people in here who want to be "alpha" but instead of appreciating the game which is played by both sexes - just despise women and use RP as an excuse for hatred born from insecurity and bad experiences...

When is this sub going to start focusing less on hating and more on self-improvement as it claims RP theory is all about? The top threads in here are all "haha men are better than womenz duhr duhr duhr." It's basically r/circlejerk but with people who take shit way too seriously. I'm sure I'll get downvoted to hell for this post but for fucks sake, grow the fuck up.

You deserve to be downvoted, but I hope you aren't because you serve as a good exemplar for all of us here.

Let's do some basic thinking:

1) Sex is very important to male happiness.

2) The women here are allowing this happiness to be crushed so that they can tilt the democratic process in their favour. "I get two votes!"

This only applies to male behaviour in response to their wives huh? It's odd that the chronological order of blame seems to have missed the first step, but oh well, men bad, right?

Don't get me wrong, I think the politician is an idiot, but I think that excusing manipulative behaviour as a-okay because of vagender and then cheery-picking consequences is no more worthwhile.

No it applies to everyone. Everyone can only control their own actions and attempt to modify the behavior of others through their powers of presenting incentives or taxing another person for behavior they find unacceptable. We do this daily in our interactions. It is what the very foundations of the democratic process, and capitalism are based on. The idea that we have free will, and thus are able to exercise that will by voting, whether it be with actual votes, our dollars, or collective action. However, even the founding fathers understood the tyranny that the majority could rule over the minority and thus instituted a democratic republic as opposed to a pure democracy. They understood that the majority is NOT always right.

Btw: starting from a faulty premise only leads to faulty conclusions. Sex is very important to YOUR happiness as a male (and my happiness as well). Don't project on to everyone though. Many of the philosophers people cite for RP theory would contend that this is incredibly narrow minded. Some of them would certainly contend that having sex with WOMEN was important to their happiness. I think some of you forget many of these philosophers had a fondness for having young boys around them constantly.

Look I don't contend with many points of RPers but I call bullshit as I see it. I would hope that you wouldn't want the RP sub to become some sort of echo chamber but I guess that's what it is.

I really wish I had a decent understanding of the phenomena rather than trying to fit it into western terminology and draw conclusions that are possibly incorrect.

sadly not even my friend who visited japan could provide me with any information , maybe some MGTOWs know better.

in my understanding herbivores aren't strictly sexless. however they reject the excess that is needed to boost SMV, lead certain social life or search for a female partner.

I have read cases of married outakus (essentially, neckbeards) and stories of not quite sexless herbivores.

I think the general outline is close to MGTOW except mgtow maybe are going to pay more attention for social/financial status

herbivores would typically not be sexless if their default SMV and circumstances allow it but they wouldn't push it.

i think it irritates the government since it can't manipulate men to pump out resources as easily as it could before.
