I think you have to understand that these are the things that come with so many years of BP mentality. Think about how long you have bought into these lies. It won't take that long to get you out of it and fully RP. It takes time. So you have to understand you will have slip ups. You won't be able to maintain frame for every women you pass. You won't be able to be alpha every second. You won't be able avoid negative thoughts about yourself. It's just impossible to avoid. Because:

  1. You've lived with it for so long.
  2. BP mentality is everywhere and impossible to avoid.
  3. Biologically, depression is a tough thing to shake. Even if just a periodical state.

My advice:

  1. Accept these times and embrace them. Realize they are just emotions and thoughts brought up from the matrix and take time to let go of completely.

  2. Get yourself out and about. Go to the gym. Go for a long ass walk. Go hang with some close friends or go play a sport. Anything that gets you out of your head gets you moving in another direction.

  3. Eat healthy. A lot of our moods and negative thoughts can be fixed through healthy diet. Lack of testosterone can affect these things too.

  4. Go your own way for a while and forget about women and any kind of validation from anybody. Just do your own thing. Hang with your friends if you want to. Think about career and goals. Thinking about women and their validation does nothing for you in these times. They just make you more depressed. Because women are not the answer. Making yourself happy is the answer and is maybe the most important thing of all this.

I know this is difficult but swallowing the red pill is not an easy thing to do you been living with the blue pill for a long ass time and you have to take time to break out of it. So take it one day at a time and just have fun with it. It's not a race. It's not about being the most Alpha man out there. It's about mastering your own life.

There are a lot of different things you can do, but what I know worked well for me was actually utilizing the I DON'T GIVE A FUCK attitude that came with my bad days. It actually helped me get outside my comfort zone and say things I might normally not or do things I wouldn't normally do, you know because in the end nothing matters. For acquiring day to day goals depression is a major hindrance (if you let it be) but if used right it can make you the most alpha in the room. You could literally not give any less fucks, a skill most people dream of.

If you want more advice on handling depression, feel free to PM me.

Well, first off you really need to not be aggressive towards others. If there is some other outlet for your emotions, use it. Shitting on other people's days makes you no happier.

And if you are depressed and could care less what anyone things, that is exhibiting at least SOME alpha traits. KEEP YOUR COMPOSURE. Even on your worst day, don't let people know you are angry, just show them you are not able to talk.

I know it is not popular on this sub but there are happy pills that about 1/2 the population is on and which seem to help.

First, however, knock off the negative bullshit. Just stop it right now. Don't dwell on the negative. You are an upbeat, attractive, quiet, perhaps slightly shy man. Do NOT describe yourself as "I am not an attractive man." You can say you have not been attractive in the past and this is what you are doing about it.

Lots of books recommend that you write yourself affirmations- I am smart, I am confident, women like to talk to me and are receptive when I approach them. This is all part of the larger rule of the universal law of attraction. What you think about, what you say, becomes your reality. Focus on the positive and exorcise the negative.

I really think this is a medical deal in some cases. The best you can do is maximize your health.

Get in shape like a rock- even when you don't feel like it.

Eat right, especially when you don't feel like it.

Recognize that when you are "thirsty for validation" is when you are LEAST likely to get it. Perhaps you need days where you hide in your man cave until you recover? Hide from your friends and family- but go out in public, go out to eat in public, go to a park, walk around a museum, and go work out before you retreat to your cave. Doesn't matter if you want to do it. Do it anyway.

Depression is vague. Don't use the word, for starters. Anxious isn't much better.

Be a man, use your own damn words for how you feel. Craft new expressions when old ones go stale. Nothing you've ever heard anyone else use to describe their depression; they were describing their depression, not yours.

Personally, i realized that i didn't care at all about external validation. I wanted to have done things that deserved external validation, but would be feel annoyed if i actually got it.

I realized that being a weird creep with transparently forced smile a few days a month just builds mystique as long as your work is still good and you don't try to bum anybody out. And i realized that spending a weekend locked alone with the curtains drawn isn't a personal failure, as long as i was reading something substantial, practicing music, and doing pushups.

And if your problem is that you think you are 'supposed to' feel differently than you do, you aren't 'supposed to' feel anything. Or, you are supposed to feel nothing. You are supposed to act. Practicing anything you can get motivated enough to start with is a fine use of your time during a bout of depression.

There's also a good chance that you can find a way to turn the symptoms of depression into assets: i hate the taste of food, so i just eat cheap, healthy, convenient raw almonds. Lost a bunch of weight, started packing on muscle, saved a bunch of money.

Finally, you can always unload your feelings on a woman who you plan to leave anyway.

I've tried SSRI's SNRI's DRI's MAOI's lol some work but only for a short while then they drop off and I'm back to my moody self. Seriously the only thing that really helps me a lot is fish oil. I am so much less emo and don't have stupid compulsions when I take them for a few weeks. I'm not super happy manic either just normal baseline. This is the brand I use which is pretty potent I think the same as the rx kind http://www.amazon.com/Omega-Fish-Oil-Capsules-Triglyceride/dp/B008RZFT1K/ref=pd_ys_sf_s_rp_a1_2_p?ie=UTF8&refRID=1RRVD96HWZG2VRBR42TH

RP has helped a lot too actually because I know most women are retarded now (not just some) and I don't have an expectation on myself to get married anymore that was put there by society.

I have been diagnosed with type 1 bipolar disorder. I do not take medication.

I deal with frequent manic switches - sometimes on an hourly basis, going from a hypomanic state into a full on depressive episode. Wide-eyed, racing thoughts, inadequacy, irritability, trouble controlling sleep habits, etc. are all little quirks that I deal with.

I have been focusing strenuously on mitigating the negative aspects of this disorder in order to be able to hold on to the hypomania which is a true blessing.

When you are truly in a dark state, that state where you feel like you should be some governmental assassin or something because your level of empathy for the human race and the entire world is absolutely null - I have only been able to describe it to a couple close friends as being in a state where someone could tell me to choke a puppy to death and I would do it and feel nothing - that state is something is to use.

I do not know if you experience hypomania, but the darker place on the other end of what I view as an emotional spectrum can be just as good if you utilize it properly.

First off - Do not fight it. Do not try to emulate any sort of outgoing personality that you may have or that you may perceive others to have . It will not work and it will make you want to die as it uses nearly every ounce of your mental energy to keep on the mask. Your fake smiles will be heavy and people will notice.

I focus on the depression. It sounds stupid but I literally focus on that little dense ball that you can feel in a physiological way that exists right above your belly button and below your sternum. I don't know how else to describe to you what I do other than that I become hyper aware of the border between the emotional and the physiological things I feel. I condense it. I create that sphere and hold it right there in under my sternum and take the sensation. I feel it.

It used to end there. For a long, long while it used to just end right there - but you can't just sit there and let that little ball swell in your gut all day. You'll die like that too.

Something switched for me one day where I realized that when I was in this state of nothingness, this state of absolute inadequacy, feeling less deserving of anything in the world than a flee should. I was actually completely free. Who could spit on me that would make me feel less than how I felt then? No one.

In really a single moment everything sort of culminated in me and I broke through some ephemeral barrier of depression that may or not be striding into some sort if psychosis (so be aware of that). But I could do anything. Although I felt like I had inherited the sadness of the entire fucking world and that there was some sort dense ball of nothing in my chest I could do whatever I wanted.

Now - you get to this point again. And don't get angry. When you get into the dark spot focus really hard on your thoughts, feel exactly how low you are and get even lower. But - and this could be a struggle to just "do", and I am aware, but realize that you are totally free.

Walk along and do in this sort of way. You will be sad and people will feel that you are sad but why should you care? People here are saying that you shouldn't even focus on women and just do something else to raise yourself up like exercising or reading or listening to music etc, but I know women can be a pervasive thought in these sorts of bouts inadequacy and sadness.

I have had some very intense and emotionally charged, sexual relationships form from working with this depression. They were usually shortlived except for one which lasted for a few years too long but that's an entirely different lesson learned. The thing is that certain women are just as fucked up feeling as you in those moments and without lying to yourself you know you are wanting some wild emotionally charged fucking ride to alleviate how you feel. There are other women out there who are wanting the exact same thing.

It's a dangerous thing to fuck around with in my opinion, but I've done it quite a few times now and I know how it goes. It never ends well, so anticipate that. You will go up for a time and come back down. Although, if this is the nature of you regardless, then so be it.

The key thing is to own your sadness. If you see a girl when you are in that state, look that girl in the eyes and speak. Say hello. Just talk. You can find girls that are willing to take on the broken fucked up dude (for a time) because they are broken and fucked up too. Don't talk about how you feel, only let them talk about how they feel and how they think that you feel, let them think they are right whatever they say. Sometimes they are spot on and it's really nice to share a moment with someone like that - ride with it. Let it be shown through your eyes and your apathy how you feel. You can get into some super intense emotionally charged relationships like this and I can't say it's necessarily good. But - everyone has there self destructive tendencies, and sex happens to be a byproduct of this one - who cares about self destruction anyway, right?

Don't send out social cues of anger when you are depressed - that's not owning it. If you are depressed send out social cues that you are apathetic, that you are focused on something, that you are thinking intensely about some fucking ridiculously complex internal conflict shit - because you are. You are aloof to the world, but you are rigidly focused on the self. You have to trim off the top and the bottom of the depression. Trimming off the bottom in that you aren't being a needy fuck, and trimming off the top in that you aren't faking being happy or tough or whatever else is over on the other side of the spectrum.

Center it up and be what it is. Depression is sadness and apathy and it's internal, it consumes a big chunk of your thoughts. You can show that - but you can't talk about it. You just really can't. You can talk about it to close close friends every once in a while, or you can talk about it to a professional who gets paid to help. But other than that, if you talk about it to people, perceptions of you will change - it's the sad truth.

You can show it though. As long as you trim off the top and bottom, and sort of center yourself in it, you can show it. And you can be free by owning it like that. This is getting horrendously long, but PM me seriously if you want to talk about this shit more.

I have dealt with extreme highs and lows for a long time and like I said have been strenuously focusing on this shit as it applies to me improving myself in all aspects of my life, career, women, health etc. A lot of of what I have to say is going to be controversial, but that's just how it is. I am aware. This isn't complete bullshit - there isn't a lot of anything to back it up I know, but I have spent a lot of time building these sort of introspective skills along side interpersonal skills and a lot of serious reflection and self-study has been done. Take it all for what you will, hope it helps.

You have to train your higher faculties to take over and essentially ignore the side effects and bullshit of depression.

Why are we always so obsessed with the way we fucking feel? Does it really matter how you feel when it comes to taking a shit, taking out the trash, going to work, or any other mutha fucking thing we have to do? No. Your feelings mean jack shit. You do it because if you don't then it will lead you to unwellness.

Why is depression any different? "Oh but the studies show people with depression can't really be normal and bla bla bla." I'm sorry I can't hear you over all that BP cock gagging noise.

Our brain evolved, it was not created. That means there is a lot of leftover shit in our brain. Programs that run governing our desire for sex, sleep, food, fear etc. Programs that are running at all times that are constantly scanning for danger to ensure bodily survival. So many of those programs get in the way of our higher logical mind. So many of those programs essentially play on our emotions. Newsflash: Your emotions lie to you. Constantly.

Get over the way you feel. Ignore it. And do what your higher logical mind is trying to do.

  • Shower and brush your teeth. Jesus that sounds stupid but depression is stupid. If suddenly you find yourself having difficulty with those basic things then quit listening to your brain and act. Start with those.
  • Exercise. Cardio and weight lifting.
  • Get correct sleep.
  • You don't have to eliminate every shitty vice but cut down on them (sugars, drugs, fast food, etc.)
  • Meditate. Witness your thoughts. Find the source of them to eliminate them. Don't believe everything your brain and thoughts tell you because it is not a truth scanning device, it is a processor.
  • And then last but not least quit being a pussy. Seriously. I dealt with depression a lot. Just shut your face, quit focusing on what you don't have, acquire what you can acquire, and be fucking grateful for what you got and shut up.

Enjoy.

P.S. And remember that life is a daily event. Wellness, like depression, is a state of being - not a destination

Ignore depression? Get correct sleep? Haha you're making me laugh!

Focusing on what you can achieve is sound advice though.
