Any line of reasoning for limiting what a man does that starts with "it's unmanly" is just a bunch of bullshit to make him serve someone else's agenda.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (32 children) | Copy Link

Thats a stereotype man can only blame on themselves im afraid, not on the usual feminist scapegoat for every single failure.

Feminists are just alpha women, they take what they want and they don't give a shit about their guys.

[–]veggie_girl 6 points7 points8 points 12 years ago (31 children) | Copy Link

Feminism is something men can only blame themselves for allowing to happen.

  • Women nag until you give in
  • Men give them what they want
  • Women continue to nag since it worked previously
  • Men give them what they want to make them shut up
  • Women continue to nag
  • Men have already given away everything theyhave
  • Women continue to nag

That's feminism in a nutshell. It was bad to ever let them get their foot in the door.

That's why the Quran says:

But those [wives] from whom you fear arrogance - [first] advise them; [then if they persist], forsake them in bed; and [finally], strike them. But if they obey you [once more], seek no means against them." [4:34]

When you strip away the religion and look at it as a set of rules for pre-modern society. You realize that much of what occurs has allowed modern societies to emerge.

making them do all the house chores and treating them like objects

Up until very recently (like 1900's) division of labor was a very important and very necessary aspect that allowed society to continue to advance. Men hunted, gathered and worked the fields and factories and Women raised children and took care of the home.

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

Both religion and that division are no longer needed, and so as the manics song - everything must go.

[–]nonservator 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

How do you propose to "get rid of religion" without violence against honest, peaceful people?

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Get rid of its influence in politics, I dont much care what people believe or worship. It just shouldn't have political influence is all. Also to note that if there is a destructive idea it is that of religion, go count how many people died on religion driven wars.

[–]nonservator 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Agree with your first sentence, disagree on the historical body count.

[–]veggie_girl 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago* (19 children) | Copy Link

I'm an atheist. You don't have to believe in religion to receive lessons in human interaction from the bible or the quran.

You can think of them as history books with a lot of superstitious fear in them. I think both are important because it shows how people answer questions that are beyond their understanding and maintain order when there is limited technology available.

The bible may be a better source because it has examples of what happens and not just rules. But you cannot deny that marriage in places like India have more successful marriages where the Quran is generally followed.

You are letting blind hate for religion get in the way of your learning. It's understandable. Unplugging from religion is a lot like unplugging when swallowing theredpill.

  • 5 Stages of Unplugging [thereationalmale.com]

I was not always an atheist. I remember when I unplugged. It felt and sounded very much like many of the men in this forum do and that may be why I'm able to relate with how they feel about women when they are swallowing theredpill. I was bitter as fuck and wanted to go as far as burning bibles and other religious material.

[–][deleted] -5 points-4 points-3 points 12 years ago (18 children) | Copy Link

80% of india's population is hindu. And of course a marriage is successful when one of the parties is making the rules through use of force and society pressure. Successful from the man that is.

[–]veggie_girl 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (17 children) | Copy Link

Many Hindus study the Quran and the bible. Hinduism has no formal founder/leader so the followers ascribe their beliefs to many sources, not just the Bhagavad Gita.

But if you want to look at only hinduist writings, it says similar things about women:

“Men must keep their women dependent day and night, and keep under their own control those who are attached to sensory objects. Her father guards her in childhood, her husband guards her in youth, and her sons guard her in old age. A woman is never fit for independence.“

  • [Manusmriti 9:2-4]

Through their passion for men, through their mutable temper, through their natural heartlessness, they become disloyal towards their husbands, however carefully they may be guarded in this (world).

Knowing their disposition, which the Lord of creatures laid in them at the creation, to be such, (every) man should most strenuously exert himself to guard them.

(When creating them) Manu allotted to women (a love of their) bed, (of their) seat and (of) ornament, impure desires, wrath, dishonesty, malice, and bad conduct.

  • [Manusmriti 9:15-17]

[–][deleted] -3 points-2 points-1 points 12 years ago (16 children) | Copy Link

Ugh, really repulsive quotes you have there. I really hope the day arrive such writings no longer bear any relevance for anyone. Poor women who are so stripped of their independence sicne childhood.

[–]veggie_girl 4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

Meh, take it at face value. The times were different back then. There was no room for being politically correct. Well, maybe there was but it certainly hasn't helped out the modern man by being so. These men said things like they were. They didn't hate women, they recognized female behavior and saw that it was less useful than that of men's. The disloyalty of women was largely responsible for many deaths.

If there is already doubts about the relationship, a DNA test will only confirm the doubts but it wont deny the doubts. She may have still gotten her fill of alpha cock while her beta wasnt around and he wont have proof so the relationship will still be ruined. This is why women dont want paternity testing of their kids. It can ultimately only turn out bad for them.

tl;dr if you need to get a DNA test on a kid, drop her ass. You wont ever get the trust back.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

tl;dr if you need to get a DNA test on a kid, drop her ass. You wont ever get the trust back.

Or you can just easily do the test without her knowing, so you won't have to ask yourself "what if the kid was mine? :[".

[–]RedeemingVices 6 points7 points8 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I don't see why people balk at getting the paternity test. I'd do it in a heartbeat, and society can go fuck itself if it wants to judge me for it.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Betas balk because they're too scared to lose that one woman.

[–]enticingasthatmaybe 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

They are afraid of the outcome, which is abhorrently weak behavior so it doesn't even register as an option for us.

[–]Endorsed ContributorrebuildingMyself 66 points67 points68 points 12 years ago (19 children) | Copy Link

Unfortunately, paternity testing isn't mandatory. Therefore, these statistics are among a pool of people who already doubt their partner's abilities to keep their legs closed.

https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abstammungsgutachten_(DNA-Analyse)#Deutschland

Everyone (child, mother and father by law) has a right to a paternity test in Germany. So if you're the lawful father, you don't need the mother's permission. If you're not a legal representative of the child, you'd need the permission of the mother, but you can easily circumvent that by first going to a family court in a simple and cheap procedure that doesn't even require a lawyer. It's only a problem if you skip that step.

edit: Also checked for Austria. Father's wouldn't be punished but labs would. So you can secretly test the alleged child without the mother's knowledge, but you'd have to do it with an international lab, because the national ones would get a hefty fine and also the results wouldn't stand in Austrian courts, because the sample origin is questionable in such cases.

[–]t21spectre 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I believe it is similar in the UK, if the man wants the test but the woman refuses, no test can be preformed.

[–]BorderedHessian 37 points38 points39 points 12 years ago* (7 children) | Copy Link

This...Jesus, I thought this was obvious. Groups that self select into paternity testing obviously have doubts as to the seed's origin.

Not a surprising stat in the least.

Statisticians of reddit unite!

[–]Nutz76 6 points7 points8 points 12 years ago* (5 children) | Copy Link

not necessarily. I remember a story about a school in the UK who is learning about blood testing in basic genetics. one of the assignments was to figure out there blood type. in doing so about 30 percent of the kids found out the dad wasn't their biological father.

and then there's the giant 200,000 sample study by I want to say it was an American blood banks association, who had similar findings to the school kids. for 30 to 40 years through the wide variety of sampling that 30 percent figure keeps popping up.

Id place good odds that if paternity tests were mandatory at birth, wed see something around 30 percent cross the board.

I remember a story about a school in the UK who is learning about blood testing in basic genetics. one of the assignments was to figure out there blood type. in doing so about 30 percent of the kids found out the dad wasn't their biological father.

I read exactly that study and it was 8%, not 30. I googled briefly and can't see it unfortunately.

Anyway, paternity test before you sign birth certificate. If you signed without check anyway. Maybe you are putting love, money and emotions in some other mans kid.

[–]Nutz76 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You might be right, it's been a few years since I read about it. 8% is still unbearably high though IMO.

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points8 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

in doing so about 30 percent of the kids found out the dad wasn't their biological father.

It is very possible to still not be the biological father, yet still have a consistent blood type with the kid. Blood type can rule out paternity, but it can't rule in paternity in many cases.

[–]Endorsed ContributorRedBigMan 11 points12 points13 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I think this is a good point.

Also I'm quite sure that 30% may very well be the standard in western feminist societies because there really is no disadvantage to a woman spreading her legs to get pumped full of Alpha's baby batter and keep it a secret from her Beta Bux husband/boyfriend. After all if she can keep it a secret for what a year or two the government will force him to pay child support regardless.

[–]Stopher 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That must have made for a really awkward parent's night.

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points8 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Beware of sampling bias.

Once you already doubt the partner's fidelity, you'll have a different subsample than the normal population (which consists of people doubting and not doubting their partner's fidelity).

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Considering this I'm surprised it's not higher than 30%. Smoke and fire and all.

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

My thoughts exactly. 30% is actually lower than what I would have estimated for this group.

[–]veggie_girl 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Is there data on the number of men who request paternity tests vs. the number of men who become fathers overall?

[–][deleted] 15 points16 points17 points 12 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

I think everyone should get a paternity test. It should be mandated by law that every child gets paternity tested at birth.

That being said, the 30% figure isn't a representative sample of the general population. This population is largely of men who have reason to suspect the child isn't their own, and so are motivated to get a paternity test. To be honest, I am surprised that the figure isn't higher in this selected population.

It is hard to say what the rate of this is in the general population since large scale paternity testing of a representative sample has never been done to my knowledge. That does not mean it isn't a very common occurrence. We just don't have the data.

[–]random_reddit_accoun 7 points8 points9 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

since large scale paternity testing of a representative sample has never been done to my knowledge.

Actually, it has been done. And many times at that. A good article on it is here:

http://disinfo.com/2011/02/one-out-of-ten-people-werent-fathered-by-the-man-they-believe-is-dad/

One interesting quote "Actual figures range from 1 percent in high-status areas of the United States and Switzerland, to 5 to 6 percent for moderate-status males in the United States and Great Britain, to 10 to 30 percent for lower-status males in the United States, Great Britain and France."

That quote is from the book "Sperm Wars", published way back in 1996.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sperm_Wars

It is extremely interesting that the rate of infidelity so closely matches status, with only 1% of high status men being cheated on, and up to 30% of the low status men being cuckolded. Alpha fucks, beta buxs, indeed.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You should be posting these links directly, not just in the comment.

[–]Endorsed ContributorRedBigMan 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

So basically 1% of Alpha's aren't their baby's daddy while 30% of Betas aren't their baby's daddy.

10% of the General Population vs 30% of the Paternity Testing self-selected population.

[–]Endorsed ContributorRedBigMan 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Some people are suspicious of the government as well and probably would not want mandatory DNA testing of someone they perceive to be their kid. Then again with all these huge DNA databases they are building it's kinda hard NOT to be able to tell that if they find DNA at a crime scene that they can go 'well this DNA matches closely with X, so it must be a relative of his/hers'. We all know the government never gets rid of any data, just hides it.

Though I would be interested in such a study as well. I would not be surprised if the number is 30% across the entire population because for every man that suspects and demands a DNA test I'm sure there are a couple of men who have been fully duped by their woman and never suspected.

[–]CokedUpArmenian 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

we already do mandatory testing for diseases or anything else. paternity testing poses no real risks to the child and insures a strong family unit, where the father has to live up to his responsibilities.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I think the risks you mention are legitimate. However, I also think the benefits to mandatory paternity testing to men outweigh the cons.

[–]Endorsed ContributorRedBigMan 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You know what you're right. If everyone is gonna have their DNA tested and put into a database directly or indirectly then Men might as well see some benefit out of it. Right now all DNA testing benefits the woman because of things like false rape claims and the like.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It should be mandated by law that every child gets paternity tested at birth.

Good luck getting that law to pass in western feminist controlled governments.

[–][deleted] 11 points12 points13 points 12 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

That's BS that the guy has to still pay child support even though the kid isn't his.

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Paternity testing should be mandatory at this point in time...

Unfortunately, that would leave less milk for society's parasites to leech off of.

[–]RedeemingVices 6 points7 points8 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I'll take, "Justifiable reasons for homicide," for 500 please, Alex.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

It's just an overt case of how the state steals from people.

Taxes force people to pay for things that they don't use or want or morally support.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I hate th government. They cause more harm than good.

[–]captshady 14 points15 points16 points 12 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

It should be required by law, before any man's name is put down on the birth certificate as the father.

[–]Nutz76 8 points9 points10 points 12 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

I completely agree. it doesn't force a mandatory paternity test on men without a court order (in the event of child support).

what it does do is protects all the men out there to do want to have a kid and be the legal dad.

[–]Endorsed ContributorRedBigMan 9 points10 points11 points 12 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Personally I wouldn't mind if we changed the norm so that before Child Support is issued a DNA test is ordered. No DNA Match = No Child Support issued.

That's not to say that the man cant continue to be a presence in the child's life and/or buy the kid things. He would have the option to do so rather than the obligation to give the money to the mother.

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Ya, but then the state couldn't skim off the top of the wealth transfer. Taxes by another name.

[–]Endorsed ContributorRedBigMan 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

You know I've been catching up on the sidebar links lately and I have to wonder how low of Taxes we could have if we reduced or removed all these wealth transfer mechanisms that exist to take money from men and give it to women.

[–][deleted] 7 points8 points9 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

You mean like social security? The older the demographic, the more women there are. The whole scheme essentially subsidizes the lack of retirement planning by women.

http://nationalatlas.gov/articles/people/a_age65pop.html

[–]Endorsed ContributorRedBigMan 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Interesting take on things.

I'd say ultimately Social Security should be revenue neutral. The amount going in should be roughly equal to the amount going out. If you put in $2 million (inflation adjusted) over your lifetime of working thats what you should be able to cash out.

Either that or since women average living 2 years longer than men raise the retirement age for them on the assumption that they are living longer, they can also work longer.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Then it's just government forced investment, which is also stupid since it returns diddly squat. I can do a whole lot more with 2 million over 50 years than 0% gain.

[–]HigglyBumps 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This is a good idea.

The only people it sees to impede are those who would produce fraudulent results.

[–]SwordfshII 4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

If i ever have a kid. I will get one before signing

[–]roe_ 6 points7 points8 points 12 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

What's interesting (meaning, here, absolutely fucking harrowing and gut-wrenching) to me is trying to imagine what I would do if I found out one of my kids wasn't mind - scorched earth? Go ghost? Stay and make the best of it?

It's horrifying, cause I'm highly invested in my kids, can't imagine just walking away. At the same time, it's the worst possible betrayal imaginable. Cuckoldry, I think, is the equivalent of rape for a man.

Fortunately for me, it's a very remote probability...

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Every man should have every kid claimed to be his paternity tested. Even if you are 100% sure. There is no excuse not to, and you give a bad example to other men by not doing it.

[–]roe_ 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Maybe, but what other men do isn't really my concern. They should pursue their own happiness.

Pursuing mine means not signalling to my wife (who has a proven track record of loyalty to me) that I mistrust her so much as to require a paternity test.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

It isn't about trust. It is about certainty and the removal of any and all doubt.

I really fucking hate this "you don't trust me" bullshit because that is exactly how so many guys get screwed.

A wife should want the father of her children to be sure the kids are his. The only reason to push the argument of "trust" against the argument of doubt removal is if there is something to hide.

[–]roe_ 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

To be clear, my wife has never said that to me. It's about what I want to signal to her.

(I wasn't going to mention this, but now it seems germane: We were discussing infidelity in the abstract, and she offered to have paternity tests done. I declined.)

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I was have a general rant in the last comment. Nothing to do with your particular situation.

When a chick brings up the "trust" argument, I feel that is a big red flag. No guy should listen to that.

Do whatever makes you happy man...

The time for demanding a paternity test is when the kid is born or after infidelity. If you're relationship is working just fine then no need to rock the boat.

Cuckoldry, I think, is the equivalent of rape for a man.

Rape is the equivalent of rape for a man.
You're propagating the myth that only men rape women and men never get raped.

Anyway, cuckoldry is horrible.

[–]roe_ 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Fair point, so I'll clarify.

Cuckoldry is the negation of male reproductive agency in the same way rape is the negation of female reproductive agency.

(I do agree with the MRA position on female on male rape, by and large. I do think men emotionally process such violations differently then women, however)

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Ah, I see now what you meant. Thanks for clarifying.

"Paternity can now be verified by a simple test – but that doesn’t mean it should be"

"Our generation sets a good deal of store by certain knowledge. And DNA tests have obvious advantages when it comes to identifying less happy elements of our heredity: congenital disease, for instance. But in making paternity conditional on a test rather than the say-so of the mother, it has removed from women a powerful instrument of choice. I’m not sure that many people are much happier for it."

Lol this sample is biased as fuck bro. You dont know how to science.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Except apparently it matches well with more unbiased and similar studies. Do you even science, bro?

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

How can a study by unbiased if the population is the kind of guy who suspects his wife cheats on him? To suspect them most of them probably have a cause.

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The other studies were not done to find paternity; the motives of the study were different, resulting in a different ( and actually, more general) subset of population. If all studies were done by husbands wanting to know the truth, then I'd agree with you, but that isn't the case with the all studies.

This is why I'm in favor of the vasectomy plus storing sperm combo. In that case you'll certainly know that the baby is yours and it will come at the time that you desire. Period.

As a 23 year old, fairly new to TRP, and intent on being a father someday when the time is right, this is strongly becoming my preferred option.

[–]Nutz76 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Agreed!

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

What are the downsides of that though?

[–]Endorsed ContributorRedBigMan 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

Except havent women sued clinics for the sperm so they could get pregnant against their husband's wishes or was that just something I seen on one of those stupid soap operas women around here watch?

[–]Meggarea 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Not exactly sued ...

Forged a signature

Used after consent had been withdrawn

After he was dead

Keep in mind, two of those are Daily Mail articles, but people are nuts.

[–]Endorsed ContributorRedBigMan 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Really the only valid one is 'after he was dead' in my opinion... That way he manages to procreate from beyond the grave and really when you're dead you have no further liability for being baby daddy. Unless you have a huge estate like Elvis or Michael Jackson.

[–]Meggarea 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I tend to agree. Having your dead husband's child is a bit different than hijacking your soon to be ex husband's sperm.

I'm living in Spain, and I can tell you that we don't have that specific problem over here.

This advice is specially useful for guys who are single who want to avoid the "Oh, It seems like I'm pregnant" trap.

[–]MdPhdVictor 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Isn't Spain like the mecca of feminism right now you know with "el acto contra la violencia contra la mujer" or something akin to it.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I think that the situation with the laws now is a mix between old and new laws. There's a complete state secretary, "Ministerio de Igualdad", dedicated to feminism and that crap, but is more related with the abnormal amount of bureaucracy in Spain. In general Judges, and the judicial system in general, are not biased in favor of Women.

Disclaimer: I'm talking from personal experiences, I don't have data to support this. Yep, the government figures in this are too fucked up to being taken into account, in my opinion.

God, I hope that's just stupe opera programming.

[–]SuperNinKenDo 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

The pool is self-selected. This statistic means little to nothing.

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

That is going too far. If you are a man who suspects a kid might not be yours, there is a 30% chance your suspicion is correct. That is very useful information.

[–]SuperNinKenDo 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Do you seriously believe that all men who have a suspicion get tested?

No, this tells us very little at all.

[–]Meterus 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

What I'd like to see is if there's a correlation between kids fathered outside of marriage, and kids molested by the father. An ugly question, to be sure... Every once in a while, I read about that sort of thing, and I can't help but wonder if, on some level, the husband knows he's not the actual father, and there's no actual genetic "connection" between him and the kid... His wife shares genes with the kid, but the husband, who's not the father, doesn't.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

This would imply that every man would molest a child if it weren't his, but it has been shown that child molesters are pathological.

[–]Meterus 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I don't know why it implies that every man would molest a child that's not his, but I agree that messing with kids is pathological.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

You asked if the molesting father can sense whether the kid is not his, but that would only be a factor if the behaviour weren't pathological to begin with.

[–]Meterus 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You have a point. It would still be pathological, if, for instance, he pursued someone else's kid, instead of his own. Not healthy behavior, either way.

The major reasons for our "bigger, faster, stronger" evolution are nutrition and medicine, you dummy. Not cuckoldry.

[–]enrgze 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Increased size of some modern populations is due to post-WWII prosperity including higher calorie diets and cheap protein, not genetics. In fact the human race shrank when it took to agriculture. For example, modern Scots have been shown to be much smaller and with poorer dentition than their early medieval counterparts when game was still widely available.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Biological evolution has stopped being the sole driving factor of our species when we developed language and with it cultural evolution and the latest, strongest and most influential evolution is the technological one.

[–]thedarkerside 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Ah. I remember reading a study done in the UK a few years ago that came up with the same thing. They claimed 25% of the kids / fathers tested didn't match.
