The "secure" talk reeks of forced cuckold who has been given an ultimatum, either she fucks other men or she leaves and this is how he copes with it. He talked himself into thinking he is so "secure within his manliness that he doesn't get jealous". He hamsters his way out of it that way.

I dunno. I can easily envision an older married couple that has screwed thousands of times, has raised kids, and has explored many areas of kink, and now the husband is just ambivalent and open to letting someone else do the heavy lifting for a change. Fucking women properly requires a certain degree of athleticism, which in turn requires a certain degree of time and effort. If you add up all the time it takes to become good at sex, and then add that to the time it takes to actually have good sex sessions, not to mention cuddling, fore-play, clean-up, prep-work, etc. and then multiply those sessions by 3-6 times a week, you're looking at a big time-sink.

As men get older, and I imagine, especially after they've (hopefully) passed on their genes, they probably lose interest in fucking their wives. (It is supposedly scientific fact that men hit their sexual peak at 16, and women hit theirs at 35.) Some enjoy the sport of sex, and so take on younger mistresses. Others take up hobbies or businesses and put their time into them. What's a wife to do? And some men may get off on watching their wives get fucked by another man because it's forbidden and taboo on a number of levels, maybe in part because they know they're SUPPOSED to feel jealous, but really they don't care that much because they've been there and done that a million times to the point where it became an obligation, and now they're happy to sub-contract that work out, just like they do with the gardening or the trash-removal. Obviously mutual-consent and disclosure rules should apply.
