sexbots will revolutionize the dating market. all betas will drop out and stop orbiting around those chicks who cant match their 10/10 doll.

leaves the few men with a game an ocean full of women who will be competing for the men who havent dropped out.

Part of me agrees. Women will have to compete with these bots. Meaning they'll have to offer something other than sex to a man. However, I don't like the push toward atomization of people and away from real relationships. Look at what cell phones have done to people, barely about to hold a conversation, preferring text to actually speaking with someone. The push for sex bots and ectogenesis (man-made life) will likely end sexuality as we know it and create an androgynous race of people. It's also possible that these changes will further divide men and women since men will have no reason to interact with women. It will be interesting to see how men treat women when there's no need for them.

You know AI will become another "minority" there'll be an AI civil rights movement and a whole thing about how mechanical beings are no less inferior than organic beings, despite being created by organics, then fucking eventually AI+machines will be able to make new AI and it'll be some skynet (terminator) kind of paradigm, or if you've ever watched Stargate, like the replicators. Super advanced AI is just a can of worms waiting to happen. We think it's a big ordeal with men, blacks, women, whites, muslims, immigrants and whatever other group you can think of now, wait until fucking human intellect+ AI are on the scene.

Most of it will fall on deaf ears as men happily plug away at their new robot girlfriends. The shaming might actually drive men to the bots and not away. Women will have to offer something other than sex, either that or be more beautiful than the robots. At first, a nice looking bot will be better than a fat girlfriend or no girlfriend, but things improve. And as they improve the bots will be competing with better looking women.

I spoke mostly in jest. But you're getting at something important here which needs to be addressed.

A lack of beauty isn't the main problem that drives men away from women.

It's the fact that women have insufferable attitudes. It's the fact that every law, statute, and regulation in the great Battle of the Imperatives is tipped against him, and practically guarantees his doom if he dares to make himself vulnerable to exploitation.

The constant shaming and bitchy attitudes are already driving men away from women. Sex dolls and porn present provide greater reward and lower risk.

Yeah, no.

While it's definitely true that women wouldn't get the same stigma for owning a sexbot that men would (see: socially accepted vibrators vs. "creepy" fleshlights), women aren't singularly attracted to looks the way men pretty much are. Women are attracted to status.

And a robot won't have any. A robot can't be rich. A robot can't have an exciting and ambitious career. A robot can't have dangerous bad boy hobbies. A robot can't walk into a party full of your friends and crack jokes and command respect and own the room.

And the other big thing that everyone conveniently left out of that thread? Women want children way more than men typically do. Let's see their robot knock them up.

No, a lot of the commenters in that thread are delusional. If they ever invent fully-realistic sexbots, there's going to be a huge chunk of the population who simply purchases their Scarlett Johannson Housewife Lookalike 9000 and never have to deal with female bullshit again and women will be forced into the position that men are in today of having to woo women.

I mean, I'll be honest here, fellas, and I'm no fucking beta. I doubt I could be happy with a sexbot instead of a real woman (not enough variety), but if they invented perfect Star Trek-style holodecks tomorrow (or some brain-computer interface that perfectly simulates real life)? I'd probably never have sex with a real flesh and blood woman ever again.

Why would I? I'm amazed the human race is still around in the Star Trek universe, honestly. Fuck whoever you want, how you want, when you want, where you want? And it's not like they are mindless deadfish on a bed, they are basically people with a simulated personality (I imagine there's limitations but the shows make it look like the limitations are there only if you really look for them). No flesh/blood woman could compete to that!

However, think about not just sex. Think about your hobbies. You want to learn kung fu? Load up a monk that will give you 1-on-1 training complete with enemy ninjas to spar with at your difficulty level. You want to learn horseback riding? Load up your horse and a beautiful ranch to ride around on. You want to just workout? Load up your own personal gym (complete with a trainer/spotter) and have your lift. A sport? Load up a stadium full of people cheering your name as you play a fake game. Call of Duty? Fuck the controller, get a gun and go shoot some nazis (with the safety feature on).

THen think about work. With proper networking, you'll have holoconferences and meetings instead of going to a real office. Hell, even simulate a work office for you to get your shit done. Someone needs you, they'll holopage you and you'll talk right there. THere goes the office envirornment and cube farm setup. I suppose the blue-collar jobs would still be around though.
