or, "no, you see, that's patriarchy too!" what an amazing feat of rationalization to avoid responsibility and guilt.

[–]FooHero3 2 points3 points4 points 13 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

So what does this mean for a guy who's 5'7"? Am I screwed?

[–]TRP VanguardVZPurp 3 points4 points5 points 13 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Increase muscularity. Game better. More approaches.

[–]SequencingLife 0 points1 point2 points 13 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Oh hi I'm 5'6 and 3/4. I think I win. Is game even valid with me. Women must think I'm disgusting.

Will I have to hit on girls who are obese or irremediably monstrous?

Is game even valid with me. Women must think I'm disgusting.

That attitude is more disgusting to women than your height is, that's for sure. Male insecurity is a huge turnoff for them.

[–]TRP Vanguardlegendofpasta 1 point2 points3 points 13 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Insecurity is a turnoff. Irrational confidence is where its at. Even contempt for them will turn them on. But indecisiveness? You may as well castrate yourself

[–]TRP VanguardVZPurp 0 points1 point2 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

No doubt about that.

I imagine these guys are doing fine for themselves. No reason you can't too.

Its genetic. Men like hot young girls, women like tall and big.

[–]r_rships_account 1 point2 points3 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Actually, in my experience they prefer lean to big.

[–]RedPillCaveman 1 point2 points3 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

And I've always joked that if I had to choose between being a really short dude or being a really fat chick that I'd pick the fat chick because at least I could still get laid.

(I'm only kidding. I'd never want to be a woman. I like being capable of logic and reason.)

The thing is, they're almost always fat as fuck.

[–]TRP Vanguardlegendofpasta 0 points1 point2 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Depends man. 5'5 is short to me, but it's like, the perfect height if she's got a skinny waist.

Wow! That twitter feed is amazing. It's sometimes difficult to aggregate examples of discrimination but that does an amazing job! Are there similar feeds for exposing other types?

[–]iggybdawg 1 point2 points3 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That explains all the women I see with 13cm heeled shoes!

[–]seanholio 1 point2 points3 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The delta between preferences is 13cm, or about 5in, which explains a lot about 5" high heels.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 13 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I understand taller = better, but how many women can accurately contemplate height? Men have a better spatial sense, and even most men can't differentiate height most of the time.

Do women really detect when a guy is 21cm/8 inches bigger? Or is that just their gut feeling?

[–]TRP VanguardVZPurp 1 point2 points3 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Subconscious processing of visual data, not physical measurement. I doubt they contemplate height well at all in the context of units, but I'd be willing to bet fine tuning has been done on their ability to generally perceive relative height. Wouldn't be farfetched for this to cluster around a particular number either.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 13 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

It's actually funny because I even wrote about this in my book...

I know this might sound crazy, but women who are physically taller (and thus larger), tend to lean towards the prude category more than normal sized women. I’m not talking about fat chicks either, I’m talking about women who are slightly taller than average, with a body size in proportion to the increase in height. I’m not sure exactly why, but I have met a lot of women that fall into this category. I believe this is related to my own body size relative to hers. I am about six feet tall (182cm) and 155 pounds (70kgs).

My theory is that there is some golden ratio of male to female height and weight that women unknowingly seek out in a mate, which could give men who don’t fall into their "target body size range" problems with getting them into bed. I’m not sure if this is an evolutionary mechanism implanted in the female subconscious, or if there is some other underlying factor I have failed to observe, but there is a correlation between the size of a target and how easy they are to get in bed. Personally, I notice that women who are close to my height or taller, will give me this type of trouble, but there is no bottom limit to how short a woman can be relative to me.

There is also a theory that shorter women are more feminine than taller women which could have an impact on how various styles of game play out with them. The reasoning behind this theory lies in the fact that estrogen inhibits bone growth, and thus high estrogen (highly feminine) women will be more likely to end up short.

[–]TRP Vanguardlegendofpasta -3 points-2 points-1 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Bigger women act more like males. They may as well have a square jaw.

[–]WhoaKungFu 2 points3 points4 points 13 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

This proves women are more about vanity than protection (which evo psych stipulates otherwise). Shorter men have a better weight-height displacement. Which, save for a marathon, puts them at a better advantage for lifting, sprinting, and climbing. Likewise, need fewer calories to do the same task hence making our smaller caveman counterparts far superior providers in times of famine.

[–]TRP VanguardVZPurp 2 points3 points4 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

A taller figure is more imposing. In nature, if you can give the impression of being more of a threat, that just as well succeeds as actual capability, if not more so.

[–]telnet_reddit_80[S] 0 points1 point2 points 13 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

This proves women are more about vanity

It's not vanity because height is hereditary.

[–]r_rships_account 3 points4 points5 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I don't think that proves it's not about vanity.
