God, some people are so insecure. Where I live it is normal for women to meet up and be friends with their exes. I actively encourage it. If she doesn't want to be with me, she won't be. There are plenty more options around and you are not the only man in the world nor do you have everything she wants.

A lot of the talk on here about vetting for LTRs is nonsense. So many men here want a women to act as if he were everything to her. I prefer honesty, and they won't give you that if they think you are insecure.

What you're missing is she wants to make you the bad guy. The "maybe" and deferring to you means she wants to meet him and be friends / nice to him, but knows you'll say no. That means you're the bad guy and she "would if I could, but he won't let me".

I'd call this a red flag.

She wants you to make the decision. Theres some deep psychology behind it but that's basically what it is. She doesn't know if she should meet with him or not, so it's your choice
