A female friend of mine just hit me up yesterday to chat for a bit. I know she's not that into me, but we replied every few hours and she kept the conversation going with new topics until the evening. Then she didn't reply at all. She will probably reply in a few hours and act like nothing happened and then what?

It's fucking obvious that the whole thing was "you entertained me when I was bored, then I had better things to do". Isn't it fucking rude? She could at least send a small text to end the conversation? Usually I'd not answer when she texts again, but wouldn't I be obviously butthurt? I answer all of my friends within a few hours.
