This is a stinking turd of an article, written by a woman, fully plugging you back into the matrix.

Women think men are nice when they are considerate towards them, do things for them, pay for things, and do all the things women want from a beta but find unattractive.

Articles like this are plugged in because they actually still encourage men to do nice things for women (listening, paying, being considerate, doing stuff to see her, caring about what she says, etc).

All this article is doing is saying "don't whine" (which is true, but it's only being said because it's what women want), "don't try too hard" (which is what women want to make her life easy), and shit like that.

Mattyanon's guide to not being a "nice guy":

don't be nice (considerate, caring, etc)
do NOTHING for her
don't show her much consideration
BE SEXUAL
don't pay
laugh at her dumbass women problems
be indifferent to all her games and shit tests
openly talk about other women, flirt with other women in front of her
ditch fast if she's not playing along with the mating game

Women won't admit the above works because she really does want beta behaviours from you, in the same way I'd like you to hand me $20 right this second. Doesn't get you respect or attraction though. Especially not for only $20.

/u/MattyAnon's comment is spot on here, troops. This article is Blue Pill bullshit down to the core.

However, even though the article is bullshit as far as attracting women, it is an EXCELLENT example of how people will try to manipulate you.

The following is an item-by-item analysis of the article's talking points, and how to identify when someone is trying to swindle you.

1. OVER-CARING/OVERBEARING

Nice guys try to fix and take care of a girls problems – this is what her girlfriends are for (over a glass of wine and a soppy movie) and not what she wants from a potential date – that comes later.

Item number 1 begins with an appeal to Red Pill principles (don't try to ingratiate yourself by solving her problems), and tries to reframe it by implying you should solve her problems later after she rewards you with a relationship.

This is bullshit. She doesn't reward you with a relationship. You reward HER with a relationship IF and WHEN she earns it. Your guidance, emotional investment, and occasional intervention in her problems are rewards that she must earn.

2. COMPLAINING ABOUT BEING SINGLE

Word travels fast gentlemen, and if a woman knows that you want a girlfriend then you lack the challenge appeal that all women are drawn to.

As a man, complaining about anything is a signal to other men that you need advice or help. It is not an effective signal for women because women interpret complaining as an attempt to bond, which comes across as needy, feminine, and unmasculine. It has nothing to do with her seeing you as a challenge.

3. COMPLAINING ABOUT BEING IN THE FRIEND-ZONE

If you can’t be friends with a woman without resenting the fact that you’re not in the “sex-zone”, then you’ve got yourself a problem.

See the above remarks about complaining.

Notice how this piece of advice tries to shoehorn you into being women's friends without allowing sex on the table - as if your valuable time and attention is something they should just receive.

YOU decide what amount of time you are willing to give to a woman, and what you will demand in exchange for it.

4. SEEKING APPROVAL FROM OTHERS

Doing the ‘right’ thing might sound great, but it sends instant signals to women that you lack spontaneity and that you over-analyse situations rather than acting on raw instinct.

This is a complete non-sequitur.

Seeking approval from others is a demonstration of weakness, yes. But having strong values and sticking to them is a signal of conviction and trustworthiness among men.

This is how you know a woman wrote this dumb article. Women don't understand how men bond and come to trust one another.

5. BEING EMOTIONALLY DEPENDANT ON YOUR OTHER HALF

Women want a boyfriend, not a rescue puppy. If you’ve ever been dumped and heard those immortal words, “you’re just too nice, you deserve better”, then you’re definitely the nice guy and what she really meant when she said that was that she was bored of constantly feeling guilty for not being as ‘nice’ as you – a little bit of fire and drama never hurt any relationship.

More words disguised as Red Pill advice, but with a slant towards women's agenda.

You should develop emotional independence for the sake of YOUR OWN happiness. Your success in life is dependent on it. Female attraction is merely a trailing indicator of your success in this.

6. BEING TOO EAGER TO PLEASE

Girls absolutely love a guy who’s nice, of course they do. But they definitely don’t like a guy who goes overboard in trying to please them all the time, especially if they’re not in a relationship already. A regular guy can still be nice to a girl, but the nice guy almost always ends up looking desperate and too eager to please.

Again, taking the cart before the horse.

Women must EARN any and all gestures of kindness on your part. Relationships - and the time/effort they require - are YOUR gift to either give or NOT give. No guy is exempt from this, no matter what arbitrary "category" women invent for him.

7. DATING/APPROACHING ONLY 1 WOMAN AT A TIME

It’s a numbers game. Not everyone you chat up or ask out will say yes, so the more you try the higher your success rate will be. We’re not saying you should be sleeping with hundreds of women at once, but when it comes to actually approaching women at bars then your best bet is to keep your options open. Claiming that you’re too nice to chat-up or date one girl at a time = lower success rate. Don’t say we didn’t warn you.

Why not? Pursue as many simultaneous sex partners as your time and inclination warrant, even after a girl has earned an LTR from you.

8. BEING DESPERATE

“I just want a girlfriend, someone to look after and take-care of”. Grab us the sick-bowl, no one wants to hear that. Desperation doesn’t look good on anyone, especially not the guy trying to bag himself a girlfriend.

This is just a repeat of item 2.

9. BEING INSECURE

Nice guys tend to lack a bit of self-respect. Insecurity is one of the biggest red lights when it comes to dating, regular guys are happy to laugh at themselves and are modest in their appeal, but they would never let themselves be pushed around, or put themselves down.

This one is extremely insidious. It reveals the classic female assumption that appearances are reality. To a woman, appearing insecure is proof of insecurity.

In reality, everyone is insecure when they begin doing something that they are not practiced at. Even a hotshot neurosurgeon is insecure his first time on the dance floor. With time and success, you build confidence and that confidence shows externally.

This advice tries to turn your initial uncertainty and sell it to you as proof of your innate insecurity. Fucking bullshit to the last drop.

You're always going to feel uncertain in the beginning. Buckle down, proceed with determination IN SPITE of your fear, and watch as your hard work transforms into success and confidence. Insecurity is not a character flaw. Never let anyone convince you otherwise.

10. TRYING TOO HARD

Be a gentlemen by all means – that’s an attribute that will never go out of style, but if you’re crossing the boundary into nice guy territory then it can come across as false. You need to be natural in your behaviour, or she’ll have you down as a phoney in no time.

No. Don't be a gentleman. By any means. This advice is just a rehash of item 6. Women must earn any gestures you give to them, and they have to pay UPFRONT "in cash", by providing nice gestures of their own. And no, sex doesn't count, because she's getting something out of sex too.

OVERVIEW

Notice how in each one of these examples, the advice is twisted into something that benefits women, and it mentions nothing about how to get what you want. The article doesn't have a central thesis as to what following this advice is intended to GET you. Recognizing this is the key to detecting manipulation.

Next time you read an advice article, keep this principle in mind. Always be skeptical, and always run tests in your environment to verify truth.
