I have become good friends with a girl that I lived with at college, I'm not attracted to her although I found out through mutual friends that she likes me. Her best friend is a HB 8, met her a few times and have built some level of comfort/rapport with her. One night when I was drunk the girl that I'm good friends with came to my room and gave me head, of course I wasn't going to stop it. The problem is that I want to ask out this girl's best friend and I don't know what the best way of going about it is. I don't want to ruin anyone's friendship but I'm still going to ask out the HB8. At the moment I don't talk to or see this girls best friend regularly.

Should I start texting her more regularly before asking her to meet up or should I just go straight to the meet up and take the conversation from there? I know trp advocates texting for logistics only but in my experience it never works unless you already have an established relationship (plate, ltr, etc.) with the girl.

For context I've had some experience, n-count of 10, make out more than the average guy in clubs, one serious LTR a few years ago but been in a dry spell for the past 4 months. Have never had a regular plate, most lays were a one time thing.
