So just got done with a date with I girl I met through work (totally different department, no overlap) that I thought went really well. IOIs throughout, good conversation, laughing at dumb jokes, touching my arms etc. After dinner we grabbed ice cream and walked to a park nearby (not crowded, but not secluded enough to be creeps) and talked for a while longer.

When we sat down she put her purse in between us which was kind of a sign that she wasn’t that interested, which is fine, but still lots of the same IOIs as above. When left and got to my door and before I even tried to go in for a kiss she said she wish she could stay but that she really wanted to see me again. I kinda figured she was just being nice, but then a few minutes after she left she texted me and immediately started talking about ideas for a second date tomorrow.

I’m kinda confused, she didn’t really give any openings for ohysical escalation besides touching my arms and my hand on her leg, which makes me thing she’s not interested, but then already planning to meet again. She paid the bill for dinner when I was in the bathroom, and we split the ice cream so I don’t think she’s just after a meal ticket.

I leave town for a new job in 2 weeks and it’d be dope to close this one before I go but i’m not too invested. My question is whether it’s worth going for a second date or not. If so, how to go about escalating better physically? Any date ideas that put me in a better position to escalate?
