Here in the UK, things are similar to the USA with regards to feminism in our culture. That's not to say there aren't differences. Intense muscularity is less important outside America, yet other traditionally masculine traits are important. Here's one which hits home - quite literally - for men in the UK. The article is ostensibly about DIY, but the content is a strong critique of the modern Englishman's position in society. (For any non-UK readers, the Telegraph is a right-leaning, respectable broadsheet newspaper.)

Tl;dr men are better at being men when they have traditional roles that they understand. Building a better home builds a better home.
