So have no of the protestors been raped? If they have, was it not real? Or are they all false accusers?

Phrasing matters, unless thats the point you were trying to make.

[–]skahler 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago* (7 children) | Copy Link

The point is that women have been standing behind false crimes like this just to gain leverage and momentum in an arena in which they have no place to begin with. I'm not saying women shouldn't work, but the glass ceiling exists for a good reason, and women cannot operate in the best interest of the men they would be required to look after in a position in which their job is to look after men in a company. Women are not wired that way to be caretakers of healthy, active men. When that's the situation, that's called "something's wrong". As men, we stupidly place women in positions to do that because men these days have a severe lack of true knowledge of what good formulation in a society truly is, and we equate political correctness with democracy. Women are wired to take care of themselves and their children, and to be cared for by men. All other formulations of the above are false and yield problems. Our economy has spun the whole fabric of our nation out of control by making women out to be people who should be just like men, when they are reaaaallly not even remotely close.

So the point is that I whole-heartedly support the glass ceiling, because I do not want to be led by a woman in my company. Women simply are not designed to put my best interests in mind in the same fullness.

[–]zudomo0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago* (6 children) | Copy Link

You're just saying women are inferior and by extension shouldn't have the same rights and opportunities as men.

Women can be raped and protest against it. They aren't all just trying to forget it happened. People react differently. So those protestors could have been "really" raped. There is no set way to deal with it. To say otherwise is discounting that rape happens.

Now I'm against the false rape, or because they regret it, but if a guy drugs or forcibly places himself on a woman, i am against that.

I do think we need to stop with this guilty until proven innocent mentality (But that is with most crimes) and the belief all men are potential rapists or willing to rape.

Bad people do bad things. Not all people are bad.

I don't know where this employment argument came since the post is deleted and I cannot go back to read it.

But the issue isn't that woman are not capable or intelligent enough to perform high level positions. Their not hired to be caretakers of the men in the company. She isn't playing nurse. She isn't there to suckle you to make you feel better.

People act differently in personal relationships than proffessional settings (though traits may overlap).

And before, if anyone, is going to come with I'm white knighting or I'm Blue Pill, or I'm Beta keep in mind these are the three points I'm making:

  1. People react differently to being raped
  2. Women do get raped...it's a real thing that happens. Their not all lying
  3. Women deserve the same basic rights and access to opportunites that men do. Just as hispancs, asians, african, and caucasian people do.

I understand where your view comes from as a lot of the tactics, words, and media coverage gets as wanting to demonize, belittle men, but the ultimate goal for everyone should be equality , not to make them worse than men and not to make them better than men.

Discrimination is not something to advocate.

Ok so to follow up on your argument, you have to realize something. The "glass ceiling" is referring to the inability of women to move up the leadership chain of a company, not just to perform as professionals. Women in terminal professional fields (AKA doctors and lawyers) are about equal, about 50/50 in school and actually receive favor over men in terms of employment given that they are of equal percentage when only about 80% of women at that point are seeking employment. However, it's different in large companies. Women cannot lead men as well as men can lead men. This is why the glass ceiling exists.

So the employment argument basically stems from the fundamental concept of feminism. Rape is a feminist issue. Employment is a feminist issue. It just so happens that harping on rape creates more of a means of making it into employment. I suppose one who has been following the feminist mentality closely recognizes this as a form of "de-valuing" in order to gain value (see Red Pill fundamentals) and this devaluation has spread into the media like a virus that our media propagates because it invokes an emotional response, just like any other kind of hype. There's a reason this post was upvoted. People realize that there's a clear and obvious tie. Why the hell else would people be talking about this? Seriously? Have you not seen how many college football players are being falsely accused lately? Let me give you a hint - ALL of them this year.

What makes it even more clear is the fact that your standard rape victim is not going to stand out somewhere with a sign protesting rape. They're just not. It doesn't work like that. I know other rape victims, and trust me - these people protesting are not your standard rape victim. They're just a bunch of girls that are full of shit, or the "25%". These people that are protesting are feminists who are trying to gain power and momentum, like sorority girls who falsely stand behind a cause they couldn't give a shit about!! What do you think this is, anyway? See the connection yet?

Hopefully that should clarify. If you look into real rape statistics (real ones being the key word, not these bogus college surveys, but government-led family surveys) you'll see that the difference is massive. True rape victims are about 1 in 200.

Let's try this again.

The glass ceiling is just a specific form of discrimination and includes minorities in its definition, not solely gender.

You're argument against women leading is that they are women. You don't need to put it on a pedestal but you don't need to stomp it into the ground and set it fire. The opposite of crazy is still crazy right?

There is a difference between standing against a message and the way a message is delivered. You seem to be mingling the two.

You keep saying standard or real rape victim. Is there a template you're supposed to follow? A guide? Can people not act differently to events?

Most people are quiet and don't protest. But it doesn't mean those that do are lying. It just means the ones who are more comfortable doing so.

But as long as you view women to be one person vs a group of individuals (there are times to make the difference), women as automatically inferior and incapable of differing characteristics you'll never understand my point.

I.e. some people don't tell people they've been robbed. Some people do. Did one person not get robbed?

EDIT: Along the lines of what standard rape victims do and don't do. Most people fall within the bell curve of whatever category you choose. Some people fall as the outliers. They are still on the graph.

EDIT 2: Rape is a societal issue not a feminist issue. The concern is what is classified as rape. Obviously since women are affected more greatly than men in this matter, the main proponents are going to be women.

A society has a duty to or work towards providing the basic rights protections, and security for all of its citizens.

None of what you're saying makes any sense. And the first thing you said was totally wrong. You can't argue with someone who's just yabbering off stuff from an emotional basis

[–]zudomo0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Could you point out the specific points where my post became "emotional"? I'm not seeing it.

Please let me know if you were confused on my bell curve or robbery analogy, and I can further explain. Or refute any of the points you believe are nonsensical.

Please feel free to answer any of the questions I asked you. If you do try to answer them, I think (well hope) that you'd understand my view or at the very minimum expand your viewpoint on the issues.

I am so not even wasting my time. Bye

[–]caughtyouredhanded-1 points0 points1 point 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

People who don't behave like he thinks victims should behave clearly cannot have ever been victims. Because everyone always reacts to the same trauma in the same way, there's no individuality in humans.
