So I was reading the story of a promising female scientist and she was lamenting the fact that her career didn't allow her to raise more than one child because our society doesn't have enough resources and structures to help working mothers.

Despite being professionally successful and potentially financially independent, she was oblivious to the idea of marrying a stay at home father just like almost any woman I can think of. It's like they don't even contemplate the option. I don't see feminist or women oriented newspapers/magazines/publications encouraging women to marry a stay at home or a part-time working man to help raise kids.

This might have two possible explanations:

1) We know that 2nd wave feminism wasn't a grassroot movement but rather a planned operation promoted by corporate powers to push women to work full time. If too many men stop working to be SAHFs, the overall productivity would be harmed. The imperative is two have both men and women working as much as possible.

2) Feminism doesn't want women to do any sacrifice. That's why they've been lying to women when they said they could have it all: a career, a family and a husband earning more than them to comply with the hypergamous female instinct.

Disclaimer: the above scenario is for professionally accomplished women who can be financially independent and I believe it's not a rare occurrence so the argument "you need two incomes to not starve these days" is definitely moot.
