Sorry if these are a little obscure for you, bc you’re SO right how there’s less obvious shit.

The Iliad (no end of trouble one 10/10 hoe can cause. Be a stoic alpha like ajax until they kill your sissy ephebe and then go HAM)

The Odyssey (tfw ya step out for a decade or so doing some man shit and your wife replaces you with several dozen beta orbiters)

The Ramayana (honestly they just made me read this for diversity. Some demons get killed and shit. I prefer the philosophy to the epics).

The ramanya is great. I also liked the Bhagavad Gita and Shantaram in the Indian cannon. However, if we’re limited to the Bible and a handful of standards, were in big trouble because we have no footing on to build a conversation. We teach the story of an hour and the yellow wallpaper in class and don’t provide anything for men. It’s a shame that our hero’s have to be covered in blood to be respected.
