That would have been a lot more informative and easy to tell what I was clicking on instead of your post which is basically 'Hey guyz! I found a vid of some anti-feminazi chick in a tank top givin' the slapdown to manginaz. U hav to watch this!!! Just clik it! Trustme!!!!'

I only watched half the video. The video overall is okay, but one thing that stuck out for me was this (6:50):

Number 5: If I'm enthusiastic about video games, no one will automatically assume I'm faking my interest just to get attention from other gamers.

I had to laugh at this a little bit because they list this as an example of "male privilege". I'm guessing that the reason this is a thing at all is because there have been girls who do this to get attention from boys. But, here's the double standard: I've heard feminists complain that sometimes guys will identify as "feminists" in order to score points and get attention from girls. So - we have a reverse situation.

In the first case, the assumption that girls are faking an interest in videogames is interpreted as an example of male privilege.

In the second case, the assumption that guys are faking belief in feminism is interpreted as guys being deceptive jerks (rather than an example of female privilege because women don't have their beliefs interpreted as being attempts to get attention).

Notice that it's the guy who's at fault in both cases.

Why couldn't we do the reverse: say that girls who say they like videogames are probably deceptive jerks (rather than an example of male privilege) and say that women are privileged because they can call themselves feminists without having people think that they are faking it for attention?
