Feminists have been trying to get their grubby paws on Silicon Valley for ages.

It's in the Feminine Imperative that all male spaces must be either infiltrated or destroyed. Therefore, any time too many men start aggregating in ways that suggest that they, you know, don't need women, you can guarantee that there will be a feminist uprising against this corner of society.

Look at the NFL - pink shoes, fake concern about domestic violence, fake concern about cheerleaders being "too sexual," etc. 95%+ (made up statistic) of women don't give a shit about football. But too many men care too much about it for women to not do something about it. After all, every hour spent watching the game is an hour not spent on meeee.

Or look at GamerGate. Of course we all know that there is a reasonably well represented population of girl gamers, but the people going on the offensive in this fight - most notably, the SJWs - are not gamers. GamerGate is what happens when SJWs think they've found their next weak beta male target, and the target actually fights back. A total shitstorm, basically. SJWs have been peddling this bullshit "help help I'm being harassed" and "gamers don't want female game devs" narrative ever since the movement's inception. Same shit - it's just power speak aimed at disbanding yet another male space.

Silicon Valley represents another thing feminism 3.0 absolutely cannot have. A pure meritocracy where the same scrawny, nerdy virgins they were friendzoning in highschool are suddenly putting their brains to good use and making big money, and women aren't getting any of it.

So now we can expect to start seeing a lot more shit like this. Demands for Silicon Valley to feminize itself so that feminists can get free white knight money without having to actually work for it.

I expect this sort of thing from Jezebel or Huffington, but I expected more from the New York Times.

Women will never be able to enter silicon valley, high iq men outnumber women almost 8-1, and finding someone with below 120 iq in a cs major just isn't happening

An East Coast, close friend with an MBA and engineering degree went to 'the valley' in '93. He drank the cool aid, ignored traditional business and career-planning sense. After 8-9 years, his resume was trashed with way too many jobs at no-name companies, mostly all out of business. After a few years more years of odd jobs and a return to college, he is now a male nurse.
