It's beta-bait. Meant to influence men (won't work on women) to give commitment where it isn't due (unearned: personally) or isn't wise (culturally: spider trap, with rare exceptions).

Women wouldn't care because the drive of a woman is to use sex to get commitment, not to actually have commitment, until she's ready to settle down. It's not just about "choice" being available as mentioned electronically it's that a woman who's young & pretty is born with options, with choice, good genetics meaning (as it always has) the world is her oyster until proven otherwise (too old, turns out too crazy to be tolerated despite hotness, or lives in a culture that won't let her exercise the options her genetics would give her).

This is not how "dating has become". This is how women have become & men have no choice but to adapt or be exploited. The men who give commitment too easily will lose out in life most of the time. The women who have choice have it because of good genetics & won't let that go to waste by choice.

The article sounds like it was written by a woman who has just hit the wall. I assume she is 29 because she wrote this article about how 29 is a weird age and her linkedin profile says she graduated high school in 2003.

Feels a little too "le wrong generation" but the author makes some good points. The internet and ubiquitous connectivity have fundamentally altered the way we approach relationships.
