Being unattractive can take away much of your SMV.

Let's say average you is a 7 then overweight you is a 4. Shitty haircut a 5, shitty clothes a 4, shit hygiene a 2, shit personality a 3...

Now if that shitty hygiene dude fixes his shit and becomes average him he will be a 7 and turned his life around. So the real question is how much can average dude gain from becoming the perfect version of himself.

So he goes from 15% bf to 7 and his face starts to look much better. His clothing compliments his body and his style cries "this promises to be fun". A 9 should be possible. Then he can become a dj or play in a band -> 10. Be the most charismatic fucker -> 10.

Let's say average you is a 5 then you can expect to become a 7.

Now before autists other folk claim some irrelevant shit about different tastes: In general he will be a 7 not for every single woman. It's possible that he is a 2 for some and a 10 for others. That is implied when we talk in general terms, now stop nitpicking.

Well, conscientiousness has a strong genetic component iirc.

But in general, to be attractive is to be the hero of the story. The hero is defined by what he does, not really his genetics. So by being the hero of your story you alter your SMV to a significant degree.
