Hi guys, I've been studying relationships from both TBP, TRP and scientific standpoint for 8 months. I see many people have problems with relationships and struggle with questions like

“Why won’t he commit”?
“Why am I not that attracted to her?”
“We had amazing sex, why didn’t he call me back?”

I believe the science of evolutionary psychology has answers to these questions - it suggests that human mating preferences originate from our DNA and make us feel one way or the other. The deciding factor is the partner attractiveness - both human males and females have a sense of beauty which helps us rate a partner visually.

We conveniently use a 10 point scale to rate people’s looks, and I built this app which calculates relationship dynamics based on partner attractiveness. Current version uses raw attractiveness, version 2.0 would include personality traits and predict how stable the relationship can be.

I would love to hear your feedback, try to use the app with one of your past relationships and see if the report it calculates is accurate or not :) I plan to build a much more detailed report into the app and hope to collect your questions into an FAQ as well as address them in a report.

Humans are an anomaly in the animal world - 97% of all animals would have females present themselves to be humped by the biggest strongest male. The That male has zero investment in his offspring.

All females have a sense of beauty/attraction - to select a more fit mate.

Humans are a part of 3% of animals where the father can invest heavily in offspring - teach, feed, protect, potentially even raise another mans children. This is why human males can see female beauty - to commit to investing into offspring from a more genetically fit females. This Beauty circuit is built into our DNA, and is the basis of this app.

This sense of beauty means that a human male would not hump everything in sight or enjoy doing so. There is a threshold how low he would hump, but he lower he goes, the less invested he is in potential children. The caveat is that a human male has both pair bond and casual mating programs competing in his head. For females the dynamic is reversed - the more attractive the male is, more sexually available she is.

Drunkgirl69 and I had a discussion about this matter; the importance of beauty from the male perspective in terms of eugenics, in which I said:

"if the intelligent man is given a hot bookworm and a hot bimbo, he's going to want to procreate with the hot bookworm because she possesses both beauty and intelligence [traits that would create the ideal offspring for the advancement of humanity], but will only want casual sex with the bimbo. However, if he is given an ugly bookworm and a hot bimbo, he's going to want to procreate with the hot bimbo because of her beauty [the offspring would benefit from her looks and his intelligence]. Looks take precedence over intelligence in either scenario [as long as he himself is intelligent]."

What is your perspective on eugenics, and how much of it is (or will be) factored into your app?

Thanks. However your response begs the question:

There's a concept in Red Pill philosophy called the "cock carousel", where a woman will have casual sex with dozens of alphas during her 20s, before settling down with a beta provider in her 30s when her beauty declines. Return of Kings does a breakdown of this by years, and it is believed that most women do this.

On the surface it would appear that women are simply enjoying recreational sex afforded to them by the contraceptive and "sexual liberation". But I'm wondering is there a reason for this behavior from an evo-psych perspective.

In other words, if her biological imperative is securing the best genes for her children (procreation), why is she spending the prime of her youth living a promiscuous lifestyle regardless if offspring are created?

There's a number of theories, I can give you a couple:

Some women have it programmed into them to spend time with high value alphas who would not commit to her "bad boys". This is a gamble to produce a "sexy son", a playboy with low moral standards who would proceed to have casual sex in the next generation. Until contraception, such mating strategy tended to outperform mating with a single stable provider.

Another theory is that a woman does not know her true SMV until she gets slapped in the face with a number of rejections from high value males. Riding the carousel can be a calibration experience out of control (like binge drinking).

I'm getting a very different experience looking at the issue of cock carousel from the scientific and the real wold perspective. Not that many women are doing this, and it's not in their evolutionary interests (she can only be pregnant with one baby at a time). It is quite possible that in this respect TRP looks at the issue of cock carousel with the male's eyes (it is programmed into male, and a male would love to screw many many women in his 20s).

Biologically programmed choices feel natural, they are accompanied by feelings of happiness, so it's very hard to get off that path, even if the choices are not right for the modern environment.

My 2 cents (slight sarcasm).

Girls rate guys on 12 well defined settings.

0 - Indifference (80 percent of guys for most 7-9 women)

1 - Use for validation and resources. Zero contact.

2 - Use for validation and resources. Zero meet-up.

3 - Use for validation and resources, meet up for short scouting coffee/happy hour date(s). Hard shit testing.

4 - Use for validation and resources, meet up where ever he wants for scouting and fun; light shit testing

5 - Boyfriend material: alternate comfort/shit test mode depending on game.

6 - Boyfriend material: If he has game I'm on him quick.

7 - Alpha level I. Take me home tonight please just don't make me look like a slut.

8 - Alpha level II (Good money or local high status or very high fitness; sexy career combined with looks etc.). Creepy girl stalker girl mode. Tactfully tell me what to do boss.

9 - Alpha Mode III (Trifecta of all three Status/Money/Fitness in addition to Dark triad traits). Tell me what to do however and whenever you want master.

10 - God Mode (Under 45 Millionaire+ or Basic Celeb or full time Male Model). I don't believe you even want me for sex much less a LTR because I'm not a 10 plus plus. I'm not even going to go out with you without some mega mega clear signs you like me and even then I will be weird. I'm scared of you because you could control me.

11 - Desired National Celeb (athlete, musician, actor). Crazy Japanese girl mode. Meltdown. Can't function.

Note: This scale also mirrors the guy scale because most guys deal with 5-8 and most girls deal with 5-8's on this scale.

You raise an interesting point about reaction to different levels. My scale is fixed around 5 but the reaction to different attractions is dynamic.

For example, a 9F would not have a meltdown over 10M, for her it's completely natural to want to sleep with him, but he will be like boyfriend material, not like God Mode.

For a 5F, the difference to a 10M is so great and the benefit of having his children is so dramatic (5 point difference), that she can go into meltdown mode.

The reactions differ based on total attractiveness difference, for example, I describe male reaction to an 8F in my app and say that many less attractive males may be stunned when speaking with her, similar to what you described as meltdown mode. At the same time more attractive males are totally chill when interacting with her.

It's really important to note that men and women rate the opposite sex in such drastically different ways (because of differently evolved mating strategies as you rightfully point out). On the female side you could have a traditionally 'ugly' looking guy be a 10 or 11 on the female scale. It would be impossible on the male side. Conversely You can't have a traditionally poor and/or low status male on the high side of female scale. It's also incredibly hard for a women to take the risk and meet men from online because women have a natural fear instinct and need to have conformation that he is not a danger. I think this is why only the best looking guys do well on Tinder. If a girl is going to take a risk and meet a stranger it's going to be for a big pot of Gold.

We see this play out when people lie to themselves. When women delude themselves about their partners they imagine he is stronger, wealthier or more popular then he really is. When men delude themselves they imagine their partner is more attractive and youthful then she really is.

I think it's really difficult if not impossible to build rating systems that women would use faithfully because women practice plausible deniability and when they do want something they aren't direct or assertive about it. They don't want to be seen as aggressive. The internet is a poor medium for women to meet men because pictures and profiles can't really show dominance, status, wealth, interest, game. If you can find a way for a guy to communicate those things to a women online( and women can buy in and remain anonymous at first) you have a gold mine on your hands.

The western dating scene is a bizarre place right now because the internet, video games, pintrest, technology, steroids, bling, Instagram, celebrity culture, have all amplified or mitigated traditional dating signals. To top it all off people are working more and staying indoors more and they are less recreationally social in general.

You are correct - female mate value is easy to assess visually, while male's mate value is only partially visible (his genetics). Which is why in the visual medium rich internet dating world, good looking guys do best.

I can't agree with wealthy ugly guy being a 10-11. He would be off the charts on the provider level, but total crap on genetics level. According to female programming, she would try to cuckold him into raising Alpha's children. And he may well agree, for a chance to have a child of his own with her. However, this puts his mate value as well below hers, around 3-4. Her sexuality will be closed to him and open to Alpha. Would you agree that our ugly 3-4 guy would never have the same experience in bed with our woman as Alpha would?

Once again, I agree on the western dating world - those things you listed are fitness indicators. Humans have evolved to value hard-to-fake fitness indicators, like big muscles or big houses or fast cars. All of these can be faked now with steroids and loans.

All this creates a situation where even if a person is aware of these dynamics, there's simply too many of them active at once, potentially creating a need for easy to use tools to take some cognitive load off the individual. I hope my app is one of such tools.

Well there are some ugly guys that still have high fitness levels. There are also ugly guys with good money and social connections that off set. Just googling ugly guy hot girlfriends is an interesting image search (and of course that's not very empirical). Maybe only a select few truly ugly guys can be 11's but there are plenty of ugly 7-10's. Women will just hamster his ugliness and prop up his other traits which are just as important if not more important then facial symmetry. Cucking likelyhood would certainly increase; I'd concur there. But women will cuck good looking guys as well...

In the biz we call this starfish or duty sex. Sure, she might not enjoy it but men car less about the involvement of the female then they care about access. But again I think that's a tough call. I've met lots and lots of women that will flirt with other guys still go home and ride their average or ugly boyfriend hard because they don't want to lose what they already have. They do want to branch swing but they prefer serial monogamy to being single. It's kind of like practice for when they do get a higher value guy.

This whole area is fuzzy because we are leaving out so many other factors. Social pressures. Family background. Social class. Self worth. Age. Culture. Region of the country. Health. Personal philosophies. Lets not leave out: Emotional bonding, mental illness, willingness to connect, mood, environment, world view. These factors all have an effect on who men and women date and partially how they classify people (although not as big a factor as the evolution ones like symmetry, genetic fitness and provider traits). It's all a very complicated, convoluted and fascinating because humans are wildly unpredictable yet predictable creatures.
