Any sub that is based solely around encouraging mockery or outrage towards a specific group of people, whether that be their ideas, personality traits, behaviors, or looks, is inherently harmful. It creates a sense of moral superiority and discourages empathy. Certain words, phrases, or actions become "hard lines" that illustrate the complete picture of someone's personality.

If you want a captain/first-mate relationship, you must hate women. If you criticize certain social movements it means you are racist/sexist/homophobic. MRA's oppose feminism therefore they must be misogynists. RedPillers girlfriends must be tricked into abusive relationships.

Any relationship where the man isn't dominant encourages cheating. If you are a feminist, it means you are a bad person who doesn't care about men. If a man cares about women's rights they are just trying to get laid.

This isn't a healthy way to look at the world or people.

Is it different than /r/niceguys?

I only just visited /r/whiteknighting now, but I've read /r/niceguys more in depth.

I would say that /r/whiteknighting is more focused on obvious, clear, bootlicking beta male behavior. Outright idiocy in the name of pussy.

/r/niceguys has that, definitely, but it also makes fun of guys who express what seems like fairly legitimate frustration in non-PC or 'anti-woman' ways. There's a lot more serious cruelty that goes on there, people saying really horrible things about guys who often are simply clueless schmucks.

So tldr /r/whiteknighting is basically /r/malepussypass, as it were, and /r/niceguys is basically the worst parts of internet feminism coming together to laugh at and degrade weak men.

To me it doesn't matter what sub you're from if you treat people in a certain fashion you're a scumbag even if you think you have a moral high ground.
