So, this guy wasn't red pill, but you were afraid that he was, so you asked him if he was red pill? Maybe he didn't know what it meant. 9 or 10 months ago, if someone asked me if I was red pill, I might understand it as a reference to The Matrix but not anything in the context that it's used here.

No one can force you to date a red piller. If at any point during courtship you discover that a man is RP, you are perfectly capable of dumping him. As for fear and paranoia, it's not a useful way to go about living/dating and I feel the same way about RP's own fear and paranoia.

RP didn't ruin your burgeoning relationship, it looks like you did. Don't throw around accusations so quickly/baselessly - it sounds like he didn't come across as RP at all, right? So why did you even ask?

I dunno, you have to handle your own shit. You don't need RP to be shut down for this to occur (and come on, the odds of any random dude being RP out in the wild are very, very low), you just need to be able to make decisions about who you want to date and who you don't want to date and then just...don't date the ones who are RPish or spout RPish stuff.

at the risk of responding to a troll thread i will say... i'm sorry that happened; i know what it's like to feel worried and afraid that someone is going to hurt you or otherwise betray you (something i've fought for a long time, and still occasionally struggle with).

but, i think maybe you should step back from reddit and/or anything pill-related if it's having such an effect on your life (and even find someone to talk to about it, if these fears have really taken hold). i won't defend TRP; i agree, it's crap. but, i'm not sure that the existence of that sub/ideology is responsible for the situation outlined in the OP, regardless of my opinion of it. they're really a minority; it's certainly nothing to hold yourself back over.
