I've heard about this recently on a Stuff Mom Never Told You podcast on the Lavender Menace, which described issues with 2nd wave feminism and the LGBT community, which is a fascinating listen. It's actually very critical of 2nd wave feminism in regards to its intersectionality and acceptance of different women. They didn't want to be associated with the stereotype of all feminists are man hating lesbians so they kinda pushed them out of the club.

So political lesbianism is essentially, and I maybe wrong, completely against the patriarchy and anything involving men. I think that's the case though, it's been a few weeks. It came up after some backlash to these exclusionary feminists. One issue brought up though was, 2nd wave feminism at points may've crossed the line between the fight for equality to out and out misandry. It also goes hand and hand with TERFs, who don't believe trains women are women.

Also, apparently TERFs consider that a slur, which is hilarious as they are discriminating against people and hate how a neutral term is a slur against them. They prefer Men Exclusionary Radical Feminists, or MERFs. I say that to tie everything together and say that I would not be accepted by these people, and sometimes people are told they're not good enough feminists, which may either be said by political lesbians or at them. I guess it's to show that feminism is a huge concept that shouldn't be boiled down to "sexual strategy" by the ignorant.

What? Have you not seen all the politics around marriage?

Political lesbians are fucking annoying.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

If you're talking about men rejecting women on political grounds that's what MGTOW is.

[–]tamagg 2 points2 points2 points 10 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I reject women but I still desire sex with another person.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Well sorry but you can't turn yourself gay. But hey if you're just bothered by socialising with women and only want to fuck em go pay a hooker.

[–]tamagg 2 points2 points2 points 10 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Can women turn themselves gay? Because there are political lesbians.

[–]MissPearlEditor of frequent typos.9 points10 points11 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

No, they are generally bi women who choose to identify as lesbians, because they prefer to avoid men. You see the same thing with guys who are only gay in prison or when women are removed.

Many, although not all, humans have the potential to enjoy homosexual activity. If you can't, no big deal. Anyone claiming everyone can is an idiot or really misinformed.

A fleshlight, real doll or sex robot are also good choices.

[–]f3yleafAlpha-Liberal-1 points0 points1 point 10 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

Cant really compare it tho, political lesbianism goes way beyond not wanting to marry or co-habitate with men, we are talking SCUM manifesto type shit from what ive seen, being MGTOW is more a practical choice, its a different personal strategy in dealing with the same red pill essentially, its about opting out, any societal change it may at some point promote is secondary, its largely apolitical.

Rejecting marriage is simply common sense for most men in the west tho? And from what ive seen many MGTOW's do have women in their lives.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

The only thing I can find close to this is Milo Yiannapolis.

[–]geargiacceleratorBlue Pill Man1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That is a good example. In his "women should be afraid of sex bots" article he said he was he was gay because he didn't have to "deal with crazy broads".

Unfortunately there is no shortage of gay people like him. You always have to keep an eye out for gay misogynists. I would imagine lesbians would have the same problem.

Feminism in theory, lesbianism in practice was the hard edge of the radfem hard edge of the 2nd wave militants. Basically they didn't want to coexist alongside anything with a tallywhacker. Men have, until recently, not been interested in such collective isolationist thought.

[–]alcockell2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (16 children) | Copy Link

Yup, and with Julie Bindel recently promoting concentration camps for men in the Guardian, the militant tendency lives on.

[–]wombatinaburrowfeminist marsupial0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (15 children) | Copy Link

Really? Do you have a link for that?

[–]alcockell0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

On my tablet and not sure how to link to it, but I believe it's in the Guardian.

She also wants to see heterosexuality die.

[–]wombatinaburrowfeminist marsupial0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Are you sure it wasn't satire?

[–]alcockell0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

This was an op-ed piece by Julie herself. In a major print newspaper. No, I do not think that proposals for the summary incarceration of amwhole demographic is "satire". No, I do not view the SCUM manifesto as " satire".

Some misandrists False flagging as "feminists" literally want nearly all men dead. Bindel is proposing a Bergen/Belsen "final solution" for heterosexual men. She quite literally wants guys like me DEAD.

This is where naked hatred. And it needs to be stopped.

[–]wombatinaburrowfeminist marsupial0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Without the article, I really couldn't comment. I have never read Dworkin 's work beyond "Fat is a feminist issue ".

[–]alcockell0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Haven't read anything, but I'm going on the public face in the mass media.

[–]wombatinaburrowfeminist marsupial0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

How do you know if it's satire or not if you haven't read it?

[–]alcockell0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Actions speak louder than words. Also history tends to repeat itself.

Where does she say that she wants to round men up and exterminate them?

[–]wazzup987Blue pill, you can beat me black & blue for it later0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

It won’t, not unless men get their act together, have their power taken from them and behave themselves. I mean, I would actually put them all in some kind of camp where they can all drive around in quad bikes, or bicycles, or white vans. I would give them a choice of vehicles to drive around with, give them no porn, they wouldn’t be able to fight – we would have wardens, of course! Women who want to see their sons or male loved ones would be able to go and visit, or take them out like a library book, and then bring them back.

[–]wombatinaburrowfeminist marsupial0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

That sounds more like school than an extermination camp.

[–]alcockell0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Fold in MAry Daly, Sally Miller gearhart etc - who talk about massacring 90% of the male population..

[–]wombatinaburrowfeminist marsupial0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Seriously?

[–]alcockell0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yes. There was some SERIOUSLY batshit insane stuff in 2nd wave, esp the Redstockings stuff.

If you want the male pop maintained at 10% as they did, how do you get there? Mass murder on a Dachau level.

[–]alcockell0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yes. Gearhart wrote one of the first women's studies curricula.

Dig into the Agent Orange stuff that AVFM have a copy of.

[–]thereddespair0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I really wonder what can turn a woman into that... to the point of almost wanting men to disappear

[–]wombatinaburrowfeminist marsupial0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I have known some very damaged women. IIRC, Dworkin is an incest survivor. If a girl can't even trust her father, how is she going to cope with other men?

[–]MorpheusGodOfDreamsCaught Red Handed0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

mostly because male sexuality is not as fluid as the female version. Men want to fuck women, women just want to be desired. Norah Vincent proved this when pretending to be a man and hitting on other women, who were still interested after she revealed herself to be a man.

[–]wont_tell_i_refuseRed Orchestra0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

I don't know about gays, but there are definitely political trans people. Betas who have an "awakening" and become trans as some kind of weird logical extension of "respecting women". I doubt seriously these guys would ever actually chop off their balls or take a dick in their ass over pure principle, but they do exist.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Because men cannot really turn gay unless they are, you know, actually into dick.

[–]f3yleafAlpha-Liberal-1 points0 points1 point 10 years ago* (8 children) | Copy Link

Because gay men generally do not feel they are competing against women sexually(women have a greater sexual fluidity) And men lack the in-group preference that women have.

[–]theozophSimply Red-1 points0 points1 point 10 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

Also, because gay men do not hate women like most lesbians do men. To rally behind a group, you need an enemy.

[–]geargiaccelerator 1 points1 points1 points 10 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

This isn't true! As a gay guy I can tell you a ton of gay people hate women.

[–]theozophSimply Red0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Apparently not enough to form a group dedicated to remove them from every position of power they can get their grabby little mitts on.

You guys have ways to go.

[–]geargiacceleratorBlue Pill Man0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

[–]theozophSimply Red0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Feminist activism : men are horrible

Gay activism : straight men are horrible

I don't see a lot of woman-hating there.

[–]geargiacceleratorBlue Pill Man0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Uhh, wrong on both counts there buddy

[–]theozophSimply Red0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Really? Sometime it's hard to tell.

[–]geargiacceleratorBlue Pill Man0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Sounds like a personal problem

[–]theozophSimply Red-1 points0 points1 point 10 years ago* (2 children) | Copy Link

The whole LGBT movement was started by gays. Act Up (led by gay men) was the reason AIDS became a "cause célèbre", and if you think we'd have gay marriage without a male gay political movement, you're seriously misinformed.

Now, maybe you're thinking about a movement to encourage all men to embrace the gay lifestyle, like radfem encourage all women to become "political lesbians", and to keep genders segregated.

It exists, too, but it's simply feminism. It's the whole meaning of "toxic masculinity".

[–]ReginleiferOnly Zombies want female brains2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Let's be fair, those degenerates were the reason AIDS spread so quickly in the first place.

We're talking about political influence here, not epidemiology. Let's stay focused.
