So, I recently listened to an interview with evolutionary psychologist and professor David Buss, and he made yet another very strong argument for the evolutionary sexual selection process in humans that pretty much reflects everything RP also argues.

It occurs to me that the reason that I immediately recognized the RP model is that I have, for years, been examining the work of researchers like Buss, and they all more or less conclude the same sort of model.

On Reddit, however, the RP model of sexual dynamics is treated like some fringe fucked-up "ideology" with no counterpart IRL.

So, I'm wondering - with such vehement opposition to ideas that are also promoted by well-respected and fairly uncontroversial members of the academic community, there must be some basis for the opposition?

Can anyone link me to a solid takedown of evolutionary psychology's description of the sexual selection process in humans? I'm really curious as to the arguments opposing the ideas promoted by Buss and his peers.
