Any study on "love" will have people self-reporting so any love study will be unreliable and prove very little.

I agree with TRP, but the burden of proof rests on us. TRP is not science btw. It's simply an approach to sexual/social interactions.

How could any study test this idea? Only suggestions I have is secretly installing cameras in peoples eyes and recording their social interactions from adolescence to adulthood.

Men and women love differently. Men project their way of love on to women and think women are incapable of it.

And, if you stop making her feel happy, she will break up with you.

When a woman doesn't make you feel happy than why still date her? That's the one difference about men and women I see when it comes to love.

Men make it look like a job to date and love someone. They see it as a responsibility. They owe it to a woman by sticking by her even if she is a bitch. It takes forever for some men to break up with a woman and most of the time try to get the woman to break up with them. I seen relationships which lasted 6 months to several years longer after the man loses his interest. The few women that realized that their ex dragged the relationship out longer feel that their time and energy were disrespected and wasted. Trust me. That shit hurts a lot.

On the flip side, some women are fickle. Their "love" are short term infatuations. They get off once the roller coaster ride of emotions is over. They don't want to work to keep the romance alive in the relationship. Men are truly disposable to these women.

There are no studies that prove it . I personally believe they're wrong because I actually love the men in my life .

Also , think about how many women stay in abusive relationships because they claim to love the other person. If they didn't , why would they stay ?

My previous relationship is quite telling of this anecdote.

We dated for a year, fucked everyday. Sometimes 3-4 times a day, couldn't keep our hands off each other. She took a job in another state for a 13 month contract. We "loved each other" so we decided to do long distance. Talked everyday, skype, phone call, snail mail. However 2 months later, she suddenly stopped calling or responding. After a week of silence she tells me "she doesn't feel it anymore." She broke up with me. Apparently an entire year together doesn't mean anything to her even though I still felt the same way about her. If she cheated on me, or the distance killed the relationship, I don't know. It doesn't matter now.

I don't even know if I should date. What's the point?

I think it goes both ways. I love how my gf makes me feel. If she becomes a bitch one day, the lust will still be there but the love will be gone.

Do we really need studies for everything?

Uh, you have to prove something before you can disprove it. The people making the claims bear the sole burden of proof. Since they have provided no proof that a woman will leave you based on your failure to make them happy with any more frequency than men will do the same thing, this question is utterly useless.
