As Nietzsche noted in Twlight of the Idols:
...In origin, Socrates belonged to the lowest class: Socrates was plebs. We know, we can still see for ourselves, how ugly he was. But ugliness, in itself an objection, is among the Greeks almost a refutation. Was Socrates a Greek at all? Ugliness is often enough the expression of a development that has been crossed, thwarted by crossing...
Heinrich Himmler, the Nazi architect of the Holocaust, seems to bear this out as well --
After his capture by British troops in 1945, Himmler was described as....fairly short, ill-looking man in shabby civilian clothing
...Low, flabby , bald, chubby , watery eyes, receding chin (that he vainly tried to hide by photographs), limp handshake...boy, this guy was a real piece of work! And he is surely one of the most evil men of the 20th century (and he has a lot of competition).
With that said -- is this sufficient evidence for women to automatically reject any guy under 8/10 in looks? Is this sufficient evidence that the use of Tinder and other dating apps, which place a premium on appearance, are a MORAL IMPERATIVE? Are we punishing the wicked and rewarding the good when we focus only on male models and beautiful women?
