This thread will be in the context of married couples; and by dread I mean hard dread.

Hard dread IIRC is instilling a sense of doom in your spouse that you're gonna leave her/cheat on her, but not actually cheating on her.

I'm gonna define anti-dread as cheating on your spouse, but going out of your way to pretend everything is normal. This old post is a perfect example. Its a post by an old married guy in a deadbedroom who's cheating on his wife. He goes on to make a step-by-step guide on concealing affairs.

CMV: A properly concealed affair is less dangerous for the husband than hard dread. Hard dread can be construed to be emotionally abusive in court (if not as evidence of the man cheating even if he hasn't) and that could cost him a pretty penny in divorce.
