I (24M) has drinks last week with a coworker (22F) who had been flirting with me. I know. Terrible idea. I’m a total dumbass, and I learned my lesson.

We only kissed during the date. She made sexual advances and I turned them down since I at least knew better than to be sexually involved with a coworker.

My better judgement finally kicked in at the end of the date, and I told her I just wanted to remain coworkers.

Two days went by. I remained neutral with her at work, and there didn’t seem to be a problem.

Yesterday, my district manager appeared in store and pulled me aside. He told me I was being accused of groping this girl on our date. He claims that she also said that I was badmouthing him and the company during our date.

I asked if she had any proof. He said no. He said it put him in a bad position though, and that she and I couldn’t continue working together. So they fired me.

Do I have any recourse at this point? Is there a way for me to take legal action against her? Do I just cut my losses and move on? The state I live in allows an employer to fire an employee for any reason, so I don’t really have any legal recourse against the company for firing me.
