CMV: Hypergamy is real and active

I guess my rebuttal is this: All men love attractive women, in fact if most could they would date a select few attractive women. But they don’t, because they must settle for the women they attract currently and must be realistic about that.

As a man though, it’s not wrong to acknowledge that these women are attractive. The difference is are you going to act on it or not? Does this acknowledge make your current relationships unworthy? Absolutely not. Women have the same experience with hypergamy—the shitty women will always be looking for something greater, while the more balanced women will know that there are great men above “their league”, of course most would love to swept up by Brad Pitt but not all are that impulsive or empty.

Believe it or not they are actually women out there who don’t abuse their femininity and want to have lasting, mature relationships. The idea of hypergamy paints all women with one brush and leaves out any room for growth because it’s based on “eternal infantilism”.

Question: Any proof this effects people over 30? 40? 50?

Even China with a more males scenario find age of first marriage below 30 with a 2 year age Gap.

So. If this is real why do a majority of people seemingly overcome this great problem before 30? In fact people who marry after 25 and before 32 are most likely to stay married longer. The average age of a first marriage is about 8-10 years. Women who marry after 40 take the longest to find a partner. So where in the stats is the eye opening problem of hypergamy? Seems pretty evenly split on most stats that it's not effecting anyone and these stats haven't changed much since the 70s. Of which those born post 1970s haven't changed the marriage/divorce dynamic that much to skew to one issue...it's a complicated world.

If you notice, the only men who have it hard is men who don't get past a high school degree. In truth, women with degrees are competing more then their male equivalent. Hypergamy is real for both men and women...but there are always risks involved when chasing it. Also needing continuous efforts. Bigger chance to find fellow hyper, when you are in a way already hyper yourself.

Deadbeats have less chance to find prince/princess charming, rather than a put together individual.

Most people are not dumb and unnecessary risks takers. Given the choice, most would have chosen a happy, simple, stabile lives with people who love them and support them rather than playing grass is greener games.
