I think a lot of guys in TRP are always trying to draw this huge line between men and women. Would you rather date a really attractive woman with money or an ugly woman in tons of debt? Would you find it hard to resist an attractive woman hitting on you in a bar? Almost every point they make can be made for both genders. The best way to crack TRP is to apply the arguments to men.

About 20 years ago, my aunt was beaten so badly by her ex husband (she caught him gambling their life savings away), she had to get facial reconstructive surgery and she was in the hospital for nearly 6 months. She has been in therapy for years and gets minor surgeries for her injuries every few years. Even to this day, she has panic attacks and half of her face is unable to form expression.

She met and married a wonderful man about 5 years after she was attacked, and they have been happily married since then. They bought a house, had kids, are planning to retire to a cape town in New England, the whole shebang. If she can bounce back from something so traumatic, if she can find it in herself to trust men after her ex treated her that way, I'm sure you'll be able to figure things out.

I think you are incorrectly separating yourself from "money" or "looks." Who you are includes what you do and how you treat yourself. The truth of the matter is that people like well adjusted partners. If you have a stable job (money) and take care of yourself (looks), you will be more attractive. Kind of like how you probably wouldn't be interested in a woman who was a hot mess.

well, look on the bright side, now you know how women have felt for the last... well, lets say 5000 years for a start. ain't karma lovely or whut? enjoy the unleashed abyss within. meditate. it supposedly helps at times. if you're feeling particularly down, avoid bridges, and sharp objects. love your own self and the world will love you back.

Here are my thoughts: Money and looks are a factor, pretty much everything is, for both men and women (of course a woman's looks/weight/employment status matter, even if they are not the end all, be all).

Do I want to be with a guy who is not financially responsible and who doesn't care about his appearance (which are the same expectations I have for myself)? Not really. But at the end of the day, what matters most to me is the person himself. His heart, his thoughts, what he finds funny, a quirky laugh that makes me happy, what he cares about, his past heartbreaks, and what his dreams are. And I know many women also feel this way. Of course a good job and a face that doesn't look like a cauliflower help, but the core of a person is the most important factor for most of us.
