A friend told me about TRP a few days ago, describing it as a virtual utopia of discussion both practical and intellectual. He said there were posts like "You want to do [X]? Here's the real way to do it, not just something you can learn from a commercial." Posts like "Why is [X] the way it is? Well, here's the scoop that you won't get from the History channel; sources at the bottom." I have since done enough reading to believe that this is not a fully accurate depiction of TRP. The past few weeks, though, I have indeed found perception-altering information in moderate quantities; certainly enough to convince me that such communities might exist. Does anyone know where I might find some?
