A mission mentality is more important than abundance mentaltiy. The root of abundance working is that you have a mission and a purpose much larger than her.

I’m having a hard time interpreting your post. You became needy? What incidents?

Abundance Mentality does not mean you go bathe in the abundance. It means you recognize and embrace that you have high value and can go get more of something if what you currently have doesn’t work out (relationship, job, etc)

Scarcity mentality thinks there is only one piece of pie left.

Abundance mentality knows he can go bake another pie.

It would help if you post your stats, physical, reading, finance, etc.

Went through something very similar recently, and despite not being a fun experience, in the end I remain content in Christ because this is my abundance: even though I had this potentially great LTR applicant in front of me, with her having looked past a number of my own instances of beta-behavior, and who also had a number of red flags I conveniently looked past, it was not a right fit for God so I walked away.

How do you achieve this without spitting around?

What comes to mind is something like be a man on Earth and a little kid in heaven. What does this mean?

Here, as a man, on an everyday level & on a personal level, be responsible, stoic even, and present to the truth of Christ and God in a regular basis, content with not taking and instead with giving. Of course, give accordingly, give a little more eye contact to the cute girl when she says something nice or looks your way, and compliment a new friend on something you notice, ask friends about themselves, greet and get to know new people. As a kid in heaven? Be content with the little things, enjoy waking up and being alive and getting to talk to people and just appreciating the god you already have in your life. Why? Because there is so much abundance to be thankful for. If you decided to sit down one day and just say, “God, I’m thankful for ____,” how long do you think it would take for you to get all the good things you have?

Shift your focus and other will feel it. Also be sure to keep in mind that mission is everything. If you are on a mission (focused on your future and goal), and you meet someone and lose focus (get wrapped up in a potential LTR and forget about your mission), than you might experience a setback because you’re not focused on your mission anymore (ideally something that God recognized and honors).

My potential LTR came into my life cause I was focused like a laser on my mission. She literally was just hanging around helping at first and once I got lost in the idea of forming a relationship, thinking my mission was in the bag and didn’t need my attention, things quickly snowballed out of control. As I gave her attention (power), she began attemptimg to exert control (I clearly wasn’t).

I can imagine your potential LTR was not happy, and I’m sure her friends are wondering what happened. I’m sure she said something and even then, if her friends, or other girls around you are smart, and you should want a smart girl, they will seek to find out on there own what you’re about. Regardless, you know that mission is the most important thing and you won’t get distracted until a right girl is ready to make you hers, and a girl who wants you will move mountains to get a guy she wants, so just stay focused on you and your mission. You want someone who’ll help you and not who will need you to take care of them. Once you find that someone who wants to help you the way you need, then you can take care of them in that way they need IMO.

Abundance mentality is only a way to get you to stop pedestalizing women. In other words, no woman is a unicorn. Same with outcome independence and whatever else there is.

When you start to put God and His mission for you first and understand that leadership means that you need to be a leader of one first too (yourself), that's how you get out of the mentality.

You can't lead a woman effectively if you aren't putting God first and leading/stewarding yourself well. Otherwise, you place too much emphasis onto her, which puts her on a pedestal, which leads to needy behavior. Any potential wife is going to be your helpmeet/helper, not the other way around.

/u/sic_redditcruiser is doing some good writing on abundance mentality on his instagram. I haven't asked yet, but when he's a few posts in I was going to have him put some of the content up here. Instagram is shorter, so 3 insta posts to one reddit post is probably appropriate, and I've only seen the first two so far. Either way, you can message him for more information on abundance. /u/BobbyMckee also had the more general reply that I'd give. Also, there's an entire post (maybe a couple?) on the sidebar to address having an abundance mentality - I think in the 200 series.
