Hello. I've been lurking here for a couple days and have some questions I'm hoping y'all can chat with me about.

I'm not sure exactly where I stand. I'm 20 and have never been interested in romance because I don't like how it looks for a woman. With my parents, I didn't have a great example. My dad controls my mom in every way - she isn't entitled to make her decisions, has no access to money, and basically has zero say in her own life. I'm somewhat trapped in this web as well, but that would be a different post.

Romance completely turns me off because the idea that I'm supposed to be submissive, or that the man is supposed to be the captain, makes me angry. I don't want anyone else to take the lead, we should be a team. I don't want to be protected, I want to be the protector. I don't want to be doted on and spoiled. The idea that someone else should/would be telling me what to do, and making a final decision, in a relationship is highly offensive to me. It seems like the 'traditional' role for a woman is just insulting at the end of the day. I'm not a child (well, at 20 I'm sure I am to some of you, but I won't be when I get married.) For a man to think he should be the captain of me and I the follower is so disrespectful...his judgement is no better than mine, his abilities are no better than mine...

But the reason I'm posting, even if it seems like I'm totally opposed to this lifestyle, is because I want to know more. I think it's fair to say being a red pill woman is a Conservative lifestyle, and my values and beliefs lean pretty close to conservatism, except for this major issue and a few other things. Please note that I respect your ways of life and am genuinely curious to know more. Most of you gals seem to be very happy and in touch with what you want, so I'd like to know your thoughts. Do you not feel disrespected? Why does modern feminism not appeal to you? Don't you want to protect yourself and your family too, and have a say in your life/relationship?
