I broke up with an EX about 2.5 years ago. Had zero contact with her over that time until about 2 months ago. She contacted me, tried to skip the small talk as much as possible, and arranged for a hook up, but she was apprehensive saying she doesn’t view me as a “piece of meat” and still loves me. I say ok and stop responding. Week later she calls me and wants to hook up. I meet up with her have wild sex, did anal, etc. just like old times. Afterwards, she starts begging and I mean literally begging me to get back with her. I don’t say yes or no, and said that I haven’t seen you a while and to keep hanging out and see where things go. I could tell she didn’t like that answer.

We continue hooking up for a few more weeks where she basically admitted she’s been riding the CC hard since we broke up. Hasn’t had a very meaningful relationship since me. A couple of occasions through those few weeks, she is apprehensive and is catching the drift I’m not going to commit to her. Tells me this is what she needed and needs to move on. Soon after, she is no longer responding to my texts to hang out besides any other texts that aren’t relating to hanging out or hooking up, so I stop reaching out. Fast forward a month (today), I get a text from a buddy asking if I seen my ex’s new bf. I say no and he sends some pics and dude is ok looking in the face, fucked up teeth, dad bod, but has a decent career I’d say slightly better than mine. His being a desk job, mine a trade. I look good 220 lbs 5’10” 10% bf and good looking, nice teeth, etc.

I think it’s worth mentioning I told her I was seeing someone for the last 5 months, but it’s temporary until she moves in the beginning of January. That she admits she loves me, but I don’t feel the same. That definitely struck a nerve. I’m still seeing her.

I’m making this post and I know it’s long and reeking of oneitis to even post this, but I’m really confused. I knew of some dudes she was CCing on that were much better looking, better status, and sometimes career. She’s a solid HB 7-8. Why would she settle with this dude? I feel like it won’t last as I know she’s shallow when it comes to looks or she is definitely going to cheat on him or something.
