In R/TheRedPill I occasionally saw a tendecy to exempt the mother from the whole AWALT theorem - I myself am thankful for having read-up on this in here, in order to cope with the recent passing of my elderly father and the subsequent behaviour of my mother.

My father was a classical "Nice Guy", with all its negative side-effects, passive-aggressive through the roof. My mother on the other hand made no effort to hide her disdain, bordering on hate, when the three of us were amongst ourselves she constantely derided him and his health issues.

Now, with a funeral to plan and external support and sympathy pooring in she downplays the grievances they had during their +50yr marriage and plays the good housewife, taking care of his last wishes - while I sit here in disgust with regard to her ability to white-wash all the verbal abuse she delivered up until his last day. I myself have had a few outbursts myself - but see no point in escalating things,as this will help no one - the hamstering is just too strong. TL;DR: AWALT - even own mothers - guys, don´t trust your mothers to take good care of your fathers. PS I just ordered yet another copy of NMMNG to continue working those questions - to untrain my own NG syndrome, I am right in the middle of it.
