I don't know where you're at. That's what would decide whether or not to pat yourself on the back. Here's what happened though.
You got rejected for sex, and you...accepted rejection. You then got rewarded with sex.
That sounds all good, and dandy, but then you add the part where she's your wife. Congrats on not being super beta in this situation, but your only other option was to start begging for sex. Unless you were a dead bedroom on the brink of divorce, this isn't a win rather than a Tuesday.

I fail to see how that's the only other option.
Prostitutes are an option
Cheating is an option
Divorce is an option
Killing her and banging her still-cooling corpse is an option (though one generally frowned upon).
What should be a key tenet of TRP is the willingness to take the L. It's how we overcome approach anxiety, and it's equally as effective in relationships. That's actually the only way dread game actually works: you can't bluff, you have to be willing to walk away.

To take the loss. Meaning, if you're employing dread game...you better be serious. If you're trying to convey to your woman that you can get puss elsewhere, you have to be ready to go get puss elsewhere. You can't bluff.

Everytime a woman says "I'm not in the mood." You smile and put on your coat and shoes and when asked "Where you going?" you smile and say "You're not in the mood.." and leave.. even if just to have a beer at the pub. Ignore all her texts and phone messages until you get home.

I'm also non-monogamous, and my plates know it. Constant dread game. Happened similarly last night - she's over, not so interested in sex then. Mentioned I had a date tomorrow (which is now tonight). She woke me up at just before 6am, in what could only amount to a full-charge (but consensual) sexual assault by her. I think she was marking territory...
