I was talking to an older gentleman who is in his early sixties, we were sharing where we both worked. The conversation turned into more personal topics about our families, such as if we're married have kids. I told him I was divorced, that I had children with my ex wife and how she tried to kick me out of the house during the divorce. Long story short I told him after ten plus years of being married I'll never do that again and I don't trust women.

To my surprise he opened up about his wife's passing and during the last stages of her illness all of her female friends and family were asking her about her husband. He told me they said "what's going to happen with *Fred and the house","is he going to be living alone in that house", he said to me; "my wife before she died told me not to trust any women".

This man started working young for a company that paid very well even for back in the day it was a lot of money. He saved, bought houses sold them and I'm speculating but I believe he paid for his wife to go to school; where they both worked and saved their money. I admire him because he said he didn't come from a rich wealthy family but was just a hard working man who had his wits about him and a solid good head on his shoulders. The finally he told me he saved and invested his money and had enough money to retire at 45.

The aftermath of his wife's passing he told me all these old women who were divorced we emailing and hitting him up non stop. NON-STOP!. Even ladies from back in his younger days were wanting to 'catch up'.
