Part 1-1 Part 1-2 Part 1-3

My very first appearance with the DA once I was out of that jail cell the Monday following was at 0800. My Father bailed me out on Sunday morning as I had only my debit/credit cards in my possession. Bail was set at 150 dollars as I had no priors. I payed him back immediately. I had to call in to work and request to start around 1130 as I had no idea how long this was going to take. I entered the municipal court house before my scheduled time, checked in and sat in the waiting area. My Father was with me. This is of note: I am a cordial man and speaks me some good English. The receptionist at the waiting area was pleasant with me until I told her my case number. The gears were whirring a thousand miles a minute and I could hear them grind to a halt when she found out I was being charged with DV.

As my Father and I were waiting, I noticed a man in my peripheral vision walk into the room. Our eyes met and I nodded slightly by way of greeting. There was something about this man I did not like, thought this was the first and only time I would see him. It turns out this man was the detective assigned to my case. He talks with the receptionist, she points in my direction and he walks over to us. I stand and he introduces himself. I do likewise. We'll call him DT Numbers. Numbers informs me that I will not need to see the DA as the "victim" is in his office and it would not be a good idea for me to be there at the same time. I ask when I will be able to see the DA. He insists it is not necessary, my Father was witness to this. I sign out with the receptionist and leave for home. I go to work miserable. It should be noted this is before I had spoke with LTR.

Monday evening, still have not spoken with LTR. I call police station, request escort to LTR's residence. I arrive at LTR's residence 1645 Monday evening with escort, remove belongings and go to my Father's home. She, nor her son, were present.

Tuesday rolls around, LTR calls and expresses regret for initially contacting the police. I am leery of the situation. During our conversation, she informs me the DA's office only ever called her and she refused to press charges. DA proceeds against her wishes. Numbers lied as this is what he was trained to do. Keep suspect in dark, guilty until proven innocent. Initial date with commissioner that Thursday. Commissioner enters not guilty plea on my behalf.

We spoke and continued to see one another after the initial events occurred. I had another court date in the actual court-room with judge and DA. I hired an attorney, gave him everything I had: police reports, narratives I jotted down and 3 grand. HE tells me I have a good defense as she never physically witnessed me with a dangerous weapon. I informed him I was in contact with "victim". He warns me this is a bad idea and to be careful. I did not heed his advice.

Court date comes, I attend and "victim" is not present. DA has a domestic violence advocacy group with is comprised of up and coming SJW's that have a hard on for seeing men convicted of crimes, mostly 20-something women. Their job is to assist "victims" with resources for "battered" women. Their real job is to coerce women to testify against their alleged assailants. Court is rescheduled for September.

In June, LTR decides she no longer wants to see me, I panic, but can say nor do anything as I know she has my balls in a vice. She was not hostile, only lamentable about our situation (sneaking around, lying to her family why she isn't at home often even on days off). Her family does not know we had been seeing one another. I am still in contact with LTR as she called me the night prior to my court date to wish me luck and inform me she would not be testifying. I exhale. Court date arrives. "Victim" is not present. "Victim's" advocacy group informs judge that the "victim" is on her way and stuck in traffic. Lawyer and I exchange glances of WTF? from the spectator's benches. I excuse myself to the restroom at lawyer's suggestion to inform LTR she needs to physically call DA and inform she will not be present. Return to spectator's benches. Ten minutes later, one of the SJW's walks in, speaks to DA and walks back out looking agitated. DA informs judge "victim" will not be present due to illness. Court is rescheduled for January.

After court session, I spoke again with LTR and found out the SJW's were threatening her with jail time if she did not testify. A bench warrant was issued but not served to LTR (found this out through my lawyer). LTR and I begin speaking again in October and talk of re-uniting. I am very cautious of this but ultimately choose incorrectly and decide to try again. This is complete beta hamstering on my part. Never do this. As I look back and analyze this situation, this is the worst possible thing I could have done. We split 2 weeks later. LTR is mind-fucking me into oblivion.

I have no contact with LTR until night before court date in January. She again informs me she will not be present. I appear in court, all charges dismissed.

Reflection: This situation was entirely my fault. I broke frame repeatedly. I cannot stress this enough. Never. Break. Frame. Do not, under any circumstances do what I did. Do not talk to the police, request a lawyer immediately. I lost money and a lot of my time to worrying about what would've happened to me between appearances in court. I was not convicted of a crime, but this could have gone a lot worse, very easily. I could have lost my privileges to own firearms. I could have a record. I got off easy and it has completely changed my views on the "judicial" system. They do not give a fuck about you. The DA is interested solely in numbers of convictions. It does not matter if you are innocent or not, they will try to fuck you as hard as they can.

It should be noted, LTR nor I, are incompetent people. She is a woman and they act purely on impulse emotions. I failed to act rationally because I was wearing my one-itis lenses at the time. She was well educated and had a 6 figure salary. I can admit this was the primary reason I stuck around. She was attractive, given the age difference. This still does not excuse my massive loss of frame. I was a beta at it's worst form. I deserved this wake up call.

TL;DR: Do not date single mothers whom are your senior by 16 years, no matter how attractive they are nor how stable they seem nor how much money they make. AWALT.

Edit: I failed to include this in original post. I actually contacted a police sergeant at the arresting precinct to understand my rights. He said to me, and I quote "She's the fucking victim, you don't have any rights." What happened to innocent until proven guilty?
