I’m thinking about going back to college. Right now I am self-employed for 2 years now, I’m 25. I net roughly 40k after taxes and expenses. I’ll have no insurance next year when I turn 26 and that number will be even lower if I get health insurance. The business is growing but even to net 60k a year I’ll have to gross probably close to 100k if I get health insurance. Which is going to be a lot of fucking work (to gross 100k) and who knows if I can even do that consistently. So I’m thinking about going back to school to be a nurse or do something in the medical field. Anyone work in the medical field? I don’t want to do a trade. I’ve been in an apprenticeship program before and the work is too hard. Don’t want to work outside all day. My current business is skilled labor and again, getting tired of working outside all day. I have enough money saved from working to pay for a degree. I also plan on running the biz all throughout school if I do go.
