I have a long way to go for fitness, though I've made a lot of progress in the last couple of years. I lost about 25 lbs through IF and low carb diet, been biking and in the last three months or so starting to work out seriously and have seen a big change in muscle definition and strength. Seen a change in the wife at the same time. My question has to do with lifting. I absolutely get the benefit of strength training, and have made a lot of progress with pushups, pullups, planks, and squats. I enjoy bodyweight exercises, and they're easy to do since I can do them throughout the day from my home office. I usually get 3-4 sessions a day in. I work from home, and I don't have room for a home gym, and I really think I'll be more regular in exercising with this approach than with a gym membership.

I've learned a lot from this group. So I'm wondering, what do you think? Can the same thing be accomplished through bodyweight exercises as lifting?
