I met this cute girl in the parking lot of a restaurant that I frequent for lunch.

Got her number and we’ve been msging back and forth, for past several days, trying to set up a date.

I tried to take her out of town, for an overnight adventure, something that has worked for me a couple times in the past. Obviously hesitant bc she doesn’t know me.

I can’t tell if she is genuinely down to come with me, and is just shit testing me, or, if she genuinely does not want to go out for an overnight trip but would still like to meet me, or, she’s just blowing me off and genuinely not interested in me at all, but is unintentionally leading me on.

Please read through the msgs before responding:

Last Thursday: Me: hey [her name here], its [my name here]- the cute guy hitting on you in the parking lot yesterday [name of small town she’s from] eh? That’s a long way out! Are you going home for thanksgiving?

Her: It sure is a long way. I am going home for thanksgiving, it was nice to meet you

Me: Ahh damn, when are you leaving? I’m in [name of city out of town that I was going to] tomorrow morning but back in the afternoon.. let’s grab coffee and go to the park

Her: I’m busy in meetings all day tomorrow and then going to [name of city she’s from] around dinner time. I am usually pretty booked up unless I put it in my schedule a week ahead of time! Can we do something next week? 🙂

Me: Sure, next week works for me :) Any particular day in mind? I’m thinking Wednesday afternoon

Her: I am not really available in the afternoon! On weekdays

Last Friday: Me: Ok babe, next Friday, pack an overnight bag, I’ll take you some place special

Her: That sounds like a lot of fun, however I think the first time we hang out should be pretty practical 😂

Me: practical is boring, I’d rather take you on a memorable first date 😉

Two days go by...

On Sunday: Her: That is pretty sweet, what do you have in mind?

On Monday: Me: Friday evening, I’ll come pick you up, [name of awesome, beautiful city near us], it’s fall season so should be real pretty Not sure of exactly what is open and what isn’t, bc of chinavirus, but, it’s ok, we will go on an adventure 😊

Tuesday: Her: Wow that sounds really fun, I’m just hesitant because I don’t really know you yet

Today: Me: No worries babe, we will get to know each other on the drive there If we don’t vibe, we can abort mission lol but I have a good feeling you and I will have a night to remember

Her: Okay, however this weekend I had plans to go on hike with some friends 😕
