Literally today a guy ended things with me by saying i deserve better than him. Yesterday he was talking about wanting a future with me. Im so confused.

He took the trash out (himself). Cut your 'losses' and drop him - you don't ever want to entertain wishy-washy men like that. Ever! They will only hurt you. He doesn't know what he wants and can't provide.
The right man will never confuse you about his intentions and they, in fact, will always be crystal clear if they're honest. Be confused no longer - just block and delete. You don't have the time for that clownery.

Ugh, I am so sorry that this happened to you.
But yeah, trash took itself out. If some dude is like this, they'll always be indecisive and bumbling, and you'll spend forever cleaning up after them.
Also he sounds manipulative as hell, which gets exhausting and tedious.
