I'll wager that she never asked them if that was the reason they dropped her, and go double-or-nothing that they never told her that either. That is simply the rationalization hamster spinning. Why else would they quit seeing me after two dates? That must be the reason! Personally, I have never heard of a male friend or acquaintance saying such a thing to a woman, they just simply don't ask her out again. She is just guessing and grasping for straws at the same time. Could be that they realize after two dates that she is not the woman that they want to have that long term relationship with!

It reminds me of the old saw, "He said he was looking to get married, dumped me, then got married to someone else!" He was looking to get married, only not to YOU!

That demanding job you have that you think currently fulfills you? In 20 years, nothing you have done there will be anywhere near the happiness that comes from having a family of your own. I know, the family courts and divorce laws have been doing wonders in tearing away that happiness, which as a result diminishes the pool of men willing to get married. I wonder if she would oppose those laws that have made things worse, or if she has the ability to understand the effects of those laws. Even if she could, I doubt she would even raise a voice in protest, as her only concern would be her own singleness.

Her "I like the perks of being single" attitude put her in the place she is at. She certainly did not take dating seriously when it counted in her 20s (the filtering should be a lot more rigorous than to have "it just didn't work out" as your only results), and now she is going to find out if she can really be content while single. It also shows that she is a begging chooser when she is passing up the chances she still has with the guys who are still willing to date her, as she has not humbled herself to accept any of those guys. It certainly shows that her priorities were never about getting married and having a family, as she would already have that if it was important to her.
