TRP simply acknowledges reality. The reality of how women are today, and the reality of how marriage/divorce laws are today.

By simple observation, field reports, and intuition, it is clear that lawful/legal marriage is a poor choice for men, while being a good choice for women.

There is no cognitive dissonance. It is simple straight-line logic, deduced after becoming aware of how things really are vs. the fantasy most men were raised to believe.

I suppose it depends on what standards you are applying. If TRP were proposed as a scientific theory, the inherent contradictions and cognitive dissonance would make verification impossible. We are heavily based on anecdotal blogs from the manosphere and fringe literature. In addition, some of the issues (moral questions) are philosophical and difficult to analyze. Additionally, extremism makes discerning a "standard" TRP view hard to determine.

An annoyance is the prevalence of self-referencing to justify philosophical positions or as 'proof' of social science. For instance, the posit that sexual strategy is amoral is simply linked to a post repeating the same phrase on the side bar. There is no great philosophical argument put forth it is simply a statement. Regardless, it is the transformation to the TRP is amoral that displays true cognitive dissonance or deliberate distortion. When confronted on this point the typical fall back position is enjoy the decline. Essentially then the understanding one would arrive at is that TRP is nihlist. However, that characterization is opposed by those who wish to have honor infused values within TRP.

OP points out an aspect of TRP that is inherently contradictory: the reviled sluts by the promiscuous player. In classic 'do as I say not as I do' fashion a path is carved out where it is logically acceptable to hone your game with as many sexual partners as possible while looking for a LTR with a (near) virginal partner. This is justified by 'they were already doing it anyways' or AWALT. Again, a nihlistic position.

What I have come to recognize is that for many on the TRP, it is period of transformation where emotions, perceptions and even logic seems to be in flux. Consider that rationality is also subject to the perceived decline. If TRP maintains a significant portion of its membership that mature and make their way through some of the trials of adulthood then some of these issues are likely to come to the forefront. If those members drop from the rolls only to be replaced by an incoming class of 'disaffected beta losers' then the cycle will simply repeat.

TRP perpetuates hook-ups not to prevent women from being properly loyal but to promote sharpening the self and weeding through lower quality women.

We are not the cause of a woman's willingness to hook up, nature is; we might give some pushes, but if we don't then other men will (including during our relationships). Remember the definition of hypergamy - "marrying" up. Hypergamy causes higher quality women to, generally, have lower counts and be more difficult to obtain. However, one can not hope to borrow time from a quality woman without preparing himself properly.

Hooking up is practice for the big leagues for us and prevents sexual thirst (helping us to focus on self-improvement); conveniently, it also serves the purpose of natural selection and identifying women who are not likely LTR quality. With this in mind, hooking up with tons of "meh" women shouldn't be happening, but rather one should strive to obtain better and better partners to improve the self.

Women who want to sleep around will, with or without the red pill existing, and will thus lower their value (i.e. create RP complaining). However, we can use the system to our advantage to improve ourselves and our potential partners.

The hubris is truly unreal here. Buddy, no offense but you as one guy have no influence on the system. It will either rise or fall and you will not be able to control it either way. The only question is: While the system falls (or rises), will you be having fun and getting laid? Or writing reddit posts bitching about the way the world should be, like you're doing right now?

Focus on the things you CAN control. That means yourself. Forget about society, it doesn't want to change, you can't control it, it's just causing you completely unnecessary anxiety, now drink a protein shake and go lift and rethink your entire perspective.

You absolutely can have both. Fuck, you can have anything you want. Want to hook up with a slut? Go for it. Marry a virgin? Why not both. There is no double standard when it comes to freedom of choice. You are right that you lose the freedom to "complain", but men shouldn't do that anyway. Let me level; there will always be sluts. Marriage laws are skewed. Too many married men are getting fucked over because of these laws. That's the problem real. TRP men want to get married but not under these conditions. Enter Hypergamy and all bets are off now.

There might be less dissonence than you think.

As i see it it just boils down to the different goals people on TRP have. Some just want to have their sexual needs fulfilled without too much drama, while others are looking for more intimate connection (LTR). TRP has answers to both that seeks to work in today's sexual environment:

For quick fucks there are the usual tips on how to find and aquire plates, how not to get oneitis etc.. All of this has the side effect of raising women's N count for our fulfillment (but in the broad spectrum of things we are so few it is statistically insignifcant).
For those looking for LTRs, again some tips are put forth to help you: find low N count, submissive, preferably with a good upbringing to minize drama, ex-wifes and single mother are no-go etc.

These two topics are not really related but the first one's side effects must be taken into account if you want a quality woman for your LTR.

Therefore, since people have different preferences the topics covered by TRP cannot always be congruent with each other, since they have different starting points and goals.

The world OP suggests we should thrive for will be beneficiary for those who want a more classical environment, in which case casual sex will become harder to obtain for those who prefer that.

I think the majority of TRP users will prefer a more sexually open environment.
