Single motherhood has grown so common in America that as of 2018, 11.3 million families in the US were headed by a single parent, 81% of which were headed by a female.

Once largely limited to poor women and minorities, single motherhood is now becoming the new “norm”.

This prevalence is due in part to the growing trend of children born outside marriage — a societal trend that was virtually unheard of decades ago.

About 4 out 10 children were born to unwed mothers. Nearly two-thirds were born to mothers under the age of 30

Today 1 in 4 children under the age of 18 — a total of about 16.4 million — are being raised without a father

Of all single-parent families in the U.S., single mothers make up the majority.

Edit: To answer the BIG Question: Where have all the “good men” gone? The simple answer, YOUR BLIND TO THEM.

A women’s dating preference is a constant paradox. They verbalize and plan out their preferences for the world to hear and execute an entirely new dating scheme. This is why quotes like; “Believe what she does,& not what she says” are so popular.

Women find “Good guys” boring. Their practical, routine and well-behaved. Their easy to obtain, docile (at times) to a fault. Also women perceive good guys as unable to attract other women.

[study: Bogaert and fisher 1995]. Women find guys who have the options of obtaining multiple women as far more attractive (regardless of if they were).

This goes into what women have always desired which are superior heredity and resources. In layman’s terms, they want guys they perceive as attract physically and also resources (for the inevitable breeding to proceed). But finding both of these criteria’s in 1 man, is close to impossible. Men with option rarely settle. & from many of those unplanned (64% women 20-24) and unmarried pregnancies, (67% Black, 62% American Indian/Alaskan), these men are almost never stable financially.

This in-turn causes for pluralistic mating strategies. “Superior heredity” for short-term (breeding) and docile, resourceful “good guys” for long-term (Take care of my kids pls).

Because good-guys do not the capacity to have multiple options, their easier to control and the spouse (women) doesn’t have to worry about him going and leaving.

Conclusion, thanks in-part to the rise of technology in the form of the internet, men (unknowing, uninitiated) are seeing the red-flags.

Many choose to forgo marriages (MGTOW), and the others sense deceit (when they’ve recurred wealth).

It’s going to become exceedingly harder for women to lure men into their pluralistic strategies.

“Where have the good men gone?” - As far away from those prying individuals who seek them!
