tldr: Female sollipsism is a feature, not a bug, it is not evil per se, it should not be conflated with shitty behavior and you cannot fight it, but it is easy to understand and to work with.

Body: I owe it to xsplats blog that planted the seed that made me understand this part of the female mind a lot better, but that took at least a year so I want to lay it out, because you might be interested in it.

If you look up solipsism you find two definitions, one is a philosphical stance that Schopenhauer called "an impenetrable fortress occupied by a madman" the other is being "extremely egocentric."

What xsplat posted was that women have the tendency to particularize and emotionalize from the outwards --> inwards, whereas men generalize and try to find abstract rules from within in an outward direction.

The second phenomenon is what this subreddit is, men dedicated to find abstract rules that explain their subjective experiences.

This is obviously not how women work.

An example:

Two women talk to each other, one has a problem. Now the other one tells her she had the same problem, in detail of course and how it made her feel and whatnot, they wallow in their feels and it all feels better.

What happened?

First woman tells her story. Second woman particularizes and emotionalizes and draws it in, processes how it makes her feel. Finds reference experience within herself that matches feelings, tells first woman reference experience, first woman particularizes and emotionalizes and draws it in, processes how it makes her feel. Story from second woman triggers the same feelings she is feeling right now about her own story, hurray!, she feels understood.

So far, so unproblematic.

It gets problematic when for example some woman has stabbed her husband 43 times in the throat and women instinctively side with her, the poor girl, he must have done something terrible, he probably deserved it.

Why?

Not because they hate men per se, but they immediately think, oh my, I would only do something like that if he had done something really terrible, which, in most cases, is true.

The reason why she does not have the same reaction when a man stabs his wife is because she does not identify with him, she automatically thinks, what if someone did that to me?

Lessons learned:

1)The automatic ingroup preference of women has nothing to do with loyalty and does not mean that they even like other women that much (usually, they dont), its just that they cannot not put themselves into another womans shoes.

You can use that to your advantage, because if a woman likes you she can lay out another womans scheming ways down to the footnotes if you ask her for her opinion about another womans actions.

2) The often casual cruelty they display towards men is because they literally cannot put themselves into a mans shoes, they have no reference experiences that would allow them to relate to a mans feelings at least not in the sexual arena.

3)It makes no sense to use "Sollipsism!!!" as a term that conflates, solipsism, a simple feature of the female mind, with arrogance, spoiled bitch sindrome or type B personality disorders, because if you do, "all women are sollipsistic" automatically becomes "all women are bitches".
