As men we are physically capable of impregnating a stupid amount of women in a year right? Hence why we want to fuck as many different women as possible, it's evolutionary advantageous to do so. Why do we do this or feel that way? Because it's in our nature, however also just having one partner means we are successful in some sense. With women they can only birth a maximum of twice a year with once a year being more likely and the risks of birth are very serious minus the advent of modern medicine, so from their view point when they do decide to mate they really, really, have to make it count. How can you fault them for being hypergamous, they want their offspring to have the best chance of survival and that means mating with the alpha to make the few chances they have to reproduce count. When you think about it in terms of that it's really kind of hard to hate them for it. It's a biological imperative that AWALT because evolution. And AMALT also because of evolution.
