They probably also pick up on the fact that this is all just a game to her where goal is to get them to commit. Which is why they won't.

There is a time in every man's life when he wants to commit. He usually doesn't have much, but is willing to lay it on the line in order to build a life with someone.

Right around that same time most women are hitting their sexual peak. They're getting attention from all angles and want to captilize on it.

Why should they settle for a guy trying to carve out a life when there are successful more mature guys to seek out?

They don't realize until it's far too late that the successful guys only wanted a pump and dump. While the guys who struggled and became successful suddenly aren't interested anymore because you're rejected them.

It's going to happen more and more and no one knows what the consequences are, but they're going to be much more dire for women than for men.

For the record I've dated very attractive men too, often I thought they were out of my league due to their looks or lifestyles - although as it happens these men were not out of my league when looking at them as a whole due to personality flaws.

This means that you either look like a fuckin' godess, or that you have no personality flaws. Or, more likely, that you are delusional.

As women we're often told to "lower your standards" but often this seems to be said by men as a deliberate self-serving tactic to collectively attack women's self-esteem.

Or maybe, because some of the shit you see in r/choosingbeggars, or here, for that matter, is equal parts sad and infuriating.

She lowers her standards to even accept "losers", and they still won't commit. I think that speaks volumes about her appeal for a man. Not to mention, if she thinks these guys are losers, men WILL notice that she's putting on a mask and bottling up her revulsion towards them. Of course they won't commit when they notice you trying to swallow your disgust at having to settle for them.
