Been taking harder routes lately. Starting over at rock bottom; took full time active job that is 5mi away through hills no less. Goal is to stay at job long enough to get car loan and save cash/invest paycheck in Self. Got pissed off at parents, decided to deny help getting around and intentionally walk to work and back home routinely. Good hike it is; scenic hill route, burning some carbs and getting a tan. Doing great at my job too. Confidence is starting to bloom; I feel accomplished and proud of myself, especially from being more self-reliant and not putting up with drama bullshit. Bad news is ugly foot blisters and not payday yet so no new fancy Dr. Scholl’s. Whatever.

Take it a step further. Attempt to lift weights in down time at home. Boredom is the new source of motivation; drive naturally channels to more disciplined activities. (Pro-tip: cut out video games and delete social media; shit opens your eyes, brothers) Managed to drop a weight on toe. Toe turned blue; lucked out with just nasty bruise. Staring at now ugly goblin-lookin feet made me think..

Is there such a thing as pushing yourself too far? Or just doing things the right way and not fucking up? Is it dumb to even ask as this point is the more obvious ‘when it hits?’ (i.e. answer would be “yes” if, for example, one had a mental breakdown, suffered from heat stroke, collapsed from anything etc etc)

Do you just re-analyze your method/form in execution of said mission or do you draw a line? I love being on a grind, but starting to wonder if I’ll go too far and hurt myself. Your mindset? Discuss.
